I absolutely love this movie. It's clever and interesting and very French. I would recommend this movie to anyonewho's a francophile. Delon is very touching as an alcoholic and Nathalie Baye is brilliant as well. It's a comedy and a drama which will keep you on your toes. Best of all it's a convincing love story. There's a strong chemistry between Delon and Nathalie Baye.

I saw this movie years ago and it left some sort of indelible impression on my teenaged mind. There are a couple of interesting moments (though -to my memory- certain key scenes seem to have been cut shorter in this DVD)... and there are an awful lot of long drawn out "experimental" / silly theatrical scenes in this metaphor about relationships that make it really hard going.
