Good product, bargain price
A genuine Acme Made Skinny Sleeve and a rock bottom price - what's not to love! It's a skinny laptop sleeve - not much more to say really. It looks good, fits my MacBook Air like the proverbial glove. That's all.

great fit--loosk a little worn after little use
the elastic band gets pretty stretched out...That said, it does exactly what i need it to, protect my MBA inside my leather briefcase and its not a deal breaker. I would still buy this case over other options on the market as it adds almost no weight and is extremely functional..Update--Have this about 4 months--holding up well to daily use. No issues on stretching out further for the neoprene. The elastic is holding its own as well

Too tight. Needed to sit down to make sure I wouldn't drop my laptop when pullling it out of the sleeve.
I received the correct sleeve (Skinny for MacBook Air 13-inch). After reading all the great reviews and knowing that I didn't need super protection as it will just hold my laptop in my backpack as I transport it from home to work each day, I was really excited to find a thin and lightweight sleeve that looked nice. However, I just received it last night and it was so difficult getting my laptop into the sleeve and out of the sleeve. I envisioned a sleeve that would be snug yet allow my laptop to easily slide in and out. I had to sit down on the couch and try to stuff my laptop in just in case I accidentally dropped my laptop in the difficult process. I didn't read any other negative reviews about how tight it is, so I'm wondering what my issue is (I did already remove the silica gel pack that was hiding inside). I've tried to slip my new MacBook Air 13 I just bought last month into and out of the sleeve now about 3 times. I have to admit it was a bit easier the third time around, but still more difficult than slipping it into a sleeve with a zipper, which defeats the whole purpose of this sleeve to me. I also have to say that I thought I'd be ok with the amount of protection on the open side of the sleeve, but the edge of my laptop is close enough to the edge of the sleeve where I wasn't comfortable. And given the difficulty in taking the laptop in and out, I will be returning this item. And as a final note that didn't really bother me but may be of importance to others: The sides of this sleeve are covered in the stretch neoprene like the description states. The "sewn-in reinforcements" on mine seem to be a piece of plastic board that is thick enough to help the sleeve uphold its shape but thin and bendable enough to not weigh down the sleeve. The top part of the sleeve does not have this plastic board in it which allows for the band to wrap around the top, but seems like with more use the opening may stretch out creating a larger space between my laptop and the elements than I would like. Even after 3 uses, you can already see how the opening has stretched out (pictured). The other pic is the amount of laptop that peeks out once it is crammed all the way into the sleeve. Minimal, but given all the other cons for me, it wasn't worth the purchase.

Not much protection around the edges
I've had this case for a year now, and use it on a daily basis for travel inside briefcases, suitcases, etc. It's held up really well (better than I thought it would, to be honest), and the elastic is still tight. This offers good protection from top and bottom -- nice soft interior with a harder material sewn in. Unfortunately, it offers very little protection around the edges and corners where the two halves are sewn together. I dropped my 11" Air the day after getting this (no joke) from about waist height, and the corner of my laptop bent pretty nicely on the bottom and lid. This works fine if you're going to keep it inside another bag. If you're ONLY using this, might go for something a bit more substantial around the edges (where the laptop will likely land if it takes a fall).

Zipper free is the way for me! Thin, but not ultra-thin.
I chose this for my macbook air 13, and am very pleased with the materials, construction, weight, protection and functionality. Everything is great. It is the thinnest case I've ever had for a Macbook air, but at the same time it wasn't quite as svelte as I expected from the description of "ultra-thin".Having no zipper is great. I'm a super careful person who has never cracked a smart phone screen, etc. yet had zipper-ground the corners of macbook airs like nobody's business in other cases. No more. It's helpful to know that the computer goes in there far enough that nothing will scratch the "exposed edge" which is held closed by the elastic clasp. It slides off to the size, not a Velcro or anything like that. The outside has a very nice plastic dry vinyl feel to it. Almost like imitation leather. I am very pleased with this product and would fully recommend it for anyone who wants something to carry it in, or to place it in before it goes in the backpack, etc. It's more durable than to only protect against scratches. It has a single cut of hardened plastic in the center of each side-- think of the plastic cutting boards you can get for your kitchen.Fully recommended.

Sleek, minimal, also good for pet owners.
An exemplary cover. The Skinny Sleeve is sleek and fits my MacBook Air very well. Part of the reason why you bought the Air was for its shallow height when closed. The sleeve will maintain this sleek aesthetic. The case will protect your computer in a bag and from desk height drops. Added bonus: this case is great for those with pets. I previously had a neoprene case for another laptop. We have a cat in our household and shed hair would inevitably stick to the case. This case has a smooth exterior so animal hair cannot stick to it. Perhaps it's a small detail, but I appreciate that my computer looks professional (sans cat hair) when I pull it out for meetings, conferences, and lectures.I'm a wee bit worried about the elastic band that secures the computer in the sleeve. I worry it will wear out before I'm ready to replace the case. So I've been gentle when placing the band on and off. 6 months in and no issues thus far. There was a (very) slight chip in the cover I purchased (see photo). Otherwise, no quality problems with the case. I would buy again from Acme Made.
