This is gorgeous. The thick fleecy surface makes it cozy even before its switched on. The deep skirt makes fitting really easy and stops it from moving, much easier than the ties that are fiddly. The dual controls are great, if one side gets too warm I can just go over to the cool side. I'm really pleased with the blanket, I switch it on a couple of hours before I go to bed and there it is all warm and toasty. The controls are easy to use and are fitted so that they are positioned under the pillows, others I have had were further down which meant lying in them which was uncomfortable. I'm really pleased with it, excellent value for money too

This blanket was a replacement for a 7 year old Dreamland which developed a fault on one side. The Dreamland only need to be on for around 5 minutes before it was comfortable to get into bed. This Dreamcatcher takes far longer to heat up, even on the maximum setting, so have to switch it on a lot earlier now. There are a couple of other annoying things about this Dreamcatcher too. Firstly, each side of the blanket has two areas that can be heated independently of each other (body and feet). This is good for those people who like to keep their feet warm, but have their upper body cooler. However, the chunky controller does not retain its settings after it is switched off. Each time it is switched on the default setting is 5 for both body and feet. This is probably fine for those that switch the blanket on about an hour before going to bed (as 5 takes a while to heat up). So, having to set the body and feet temperature every time it is switched on becomes a pain. The blue backlight of the control was not the best choice either, amber would have been a better choice. Switching the controller on requires you to hold down the power button until the blue light comes on. At this time adjustments can be made. So, to up the temperature of both body and feet you have to: press the Mode button until 'Body' icon flashes, then press the '+' button to increase the temperature to the desired level (0 through 9, although the default is 5 as previously mentioned). Once the body setting has been done, press the Mode button again until the 'Feet' icon flashes, then follow the same steps as for the body area. If no action is performed on the controller after about 30 seconds, the backlight goes off. So, at this point there is no visible indication that the blanket is on. Having to go through this routine each night is going to need some fortitude! There is a timer function that can switch the blanket off after 1 hour (minimum) and up to 12 hours (in hourly increments). I won't be using that, so make no comment as to its use.Would I buy another one of these? No. As it isn't actually faulty, I'm stuck with it, unless I get fed up and go buy another Dreamland.

I think I must have received a different blanket to everyone else who wrote a review. They mostly state that the blanket is thick, soft, fleecy and comfortable. Mine is thin, stiff, scratchy and bumpy. I can feel every single one of the wires that run through it. Oh and the connector for the control is in a really stupid place, if you sleep on your side with your elbow under the pillow like I do, the massive hard lump of plastic really digs into your arm. Yes it warms the bed nicely, although it seems to take ages to get warm enough so I have to put it on a good 30-45 mins before I get in bed. But that's pretty much the only good thing I have to say about it. Considering the amount of 5 star reviews, I am deeply disappointed with my blanket, but as I've now used it and it's technically not faulty, I'm unable to return it so now I'm stuck with it.

The worst thing about this item is how unhelpful the controls are. After you have switched it on and set it there is no way of knowing what setting it is on, how long is left on the timer, or even if it is still on or off, as the display goes blank. If you turn the display back in it resets itself. The only way to know that it is off is to unplug it as there is no off switch.The second worst thing about this item is how thin and lumpy it is. You are basically sleeping on the wires with a thin cover. I’ve put a thick flanelette sheet over it and it is still uncomfortable.The final thing is it’s not actually very warm. You can forget any setting lower than 5 as you won’t even feel it.

Blanket purchased 9 jan 2019, initially great! Comfortable, I like a warmer bed than my husband, so great for that. I also have back problems, which the blanket has helped with a lot. However, today, 11 April, I unplugged my controller to move the bed to get to the skirting board, when plugged back in, my controller will not work. The control panel only lights up for around 5 seconds, cannot be adjusted at all. So it is now useless. I await advice from Amazon, but would expect a return ASAP. I might amend the star rating, but for now, it’s very low.SO, Amazon arranged a refund on return of the item to the seller. I waned a replacement for the controller at least. Having contacted the seller direct, easy, no hassle, very pleasant and polite, a replacement controller is being sent straight out, no bother about returning either the whole blanket OR the faulty controller. Cannot praise enough, and until the controller stopped working, the blanket was comfortable didn't feel the wires, easy to operate and absolutely the most favourite thing I have ever bought! 5* customer service from Futura Direct, would happily use them again.

We fitted the blanket on to our bed as soon as it arrived.It was slightly larger than expected but this was not a problem.The two heat setting controllers are great and easy to use.My wife likes her side of the bed warmer than i do so a great benefit to us both.I would recommend this under blanket to anyone thinking of making a change.The fleece effect makes the mattress feel softer as well so you will enjoy a good nights sleep as well as feeling warm. Well done.

I couldn't be happier with the blanket. Delivered as stated, so soft and fleecy, fits the bed beautifully and controls very easy to understand. Actually looking forward to winter this year.
