Five stars+ for the product, one star for being overpriced.
These papad are delicious. I experimented, and found that they cook up perfectly in 30 seconds in my George Foreman grill! So much healthier than, while just as tasty as frying. Microwaving works great too. My only problem with the product is the ridiculous price. They are charging triple what I'd pay at an Indian grocer. Next time, I'll make the trip to Patel Brothers. Even driving 25 miles up there costs less than what I paid for these papad. I suppose it's price gouging due to COVID?

Fresh, unbroken and tasty, but, overpriced
These arrived unbroken and very fresh. Not dried-out or cracked into many pieces (as other brands have arrived). Tasty and very well made. Good flavor. The pepper may be too hot for some, the plain is delicious. My only complaint is, at about $12 per pack, the price is 3 times what it should be. Papadams are like bread, and I wouldn't pay $12 for a loaf. These will need to remain an occasional treat for me, at this price.

Best poppadums ever!
I have been addicted to papads since the first time I tried them years ago! They go by many different names, poppadom is what I call them. I can NOT have Indian food without them! I have bought every different brand and kind of papad that I have found over the years. These are hands down the very best I have ever had! They are extra flaky and crisp, with the best texture. Sometimes if they get stale, or if the flour wasn't fine enough they can be gritty or brittle. Another issue with other brands is sometimes you find things in them like bug parts, or hair (which is understandable for a handmade product, I just break those pieces off & fry them up.) I haven't found any bits of anything in any of these.

Can't recommend this brand
These are nicely packaged in a resealable zip bag. They are noticeably manufactured by machine, which maybe earns them the slogan "Hygienic" printed on the bag. However, I found them to be far inferior to the Lijjat handmade brand. The Swad papads smell strangely tangy in the bag and they have the same odd tanginess after they are prepared. I am comparing the Punjabi Masala flavor from both brands, and the Lijjat have a very nice spice flavor that's lacking in the Swad version. The Lijjat papads also bubble up more when you fry them and have a much nicer crunch to them. I didn't enjoy or finish the bag of Swad papads, so I would not buy them again.

Way spicier than anticipated
I got the punjabi masala variety, I'm not sure if they're intended to be spicy but I would rate them on the level of a very hot jalapeno or a mild habanero. Was not expecting that. Otherwise they seem fresh and good quality. I've never had papadum this spicy in a restaurant. Ingredients only indicate black pepper.

Delicious; we've replaced white corn chips with them.
Delicious. We've replaced white corn chips with papad, but they are a bit fragile. Good with salsa or apple butter. I brush ghee on one side before placing in oil because they don't curl as much. Best cooked in hot oil using a papad screen with a handle. Use a high-temp oil that doesn't smoke at 350F or below. You can microwave them one at a time, but the plate gets VERY hot, so if you are cooking more than one, use a few plates in rotation to allow two to cool while one cooks.

Delicious and tangy!
Just enough spice here!
