Bruno Magli Decanter Quality & Presentation - EXCEPTIONAL!
Absolutely beautiful and amazing for $10bucks??? HOW?I am a mid-century, high-end collector but appreciate a deals - I can't believe this decanter so well designed, quality glass, leather & wood...a beautiful showpiece and the right size for a wine decanter. Please note: decanters are not to ever be "air-tight" as I see come ppl asking. Decanter purpose is just the opposite to aerate the wine, whiskey for exposing the deep flavors.

Do not buy missing rubber gasket
No rubber gasket included on stopper like the description states is Included without that the whiskey will evaporate now I have to deal with the hassles of returning. Very disappointed because I like the decanter, but not taking the risk again of getting a second one without it as well I should’ve read the reviews before purchased.

Beautiful
Bottle is beautifully done, wrapping is also great. I wish they had one with different color top.

Attractive but oddly sized.
The measurements provided for the decanter are off. In the middle it’s over 8 inches wide.

missing part
The stopper didn't come with the rubber gasket as advertised so the stopper has a sloppy fit (definitely not air tight) I contacted the Seller....ThePruneDanish through e-mail to get a replacement part. After several e-mails back and forth, it was determined by ThePruneDanish that they weren't the seller and I was told I probably bought the item through a different Vendor. I sent them screen shots as requested showing them as the seller. The decanter was brought as a gift and now is unusable.

Beautiful Italian designed decanter.
I ordered this for myself being that I collect items like decanters. This decanter has a rustic design. The wooden stopper while adding design appeal does not seal the decanter closed. This is not a problem though since I only use a decanter for one night. Usually I drink the leftover and in the rare occasions I don’t, I just pour it back into its bottle. The glass is a decent thickness. Thick enough to make it good quality but I would personally like it a little thicker. The box the decanter comes in is stunning; making it a great gift.

I expected greatness.
In 1997, thanks to some unsolicited advertising by O.J. Simpson, Bruno Magli's sales jumped by 30% when the world's elites realized, "If you can get away with MURDER in a pair of Bruno Maglis, just imagine what ELSE you could get away with!" And like that, the innocent Italian manufacturer became forever linked in my mind to nefarious deeds, much like a child in the 1940s who'd previously enjoyed being named Adolph Hitler or a young student in the 1980s gritting his teeth as he signed his homework "Richard Simmons."Ever since that infamous trial, if only subconsciously, it's been my dream to quaff spirits in the manner of the top 1% of society: from a Bruno Magli decanter. Today, I realized, and became aware of, that dream.Sadly, it was an experience akin to meeting your heroes; up close you can see they're just as flawed as everyone else. Yes, this BM decanter (the term I will henceforth use as a euphemism for colostomy bags) IS tastefully designed. Unfortunately, the execution of that design lacks the marks of master craftsmanship and use of the choicest materials that connoisseurs of haute couture rightly expect. Marquee Brands LLC (owners of the brands Body Glove, Martha Stewart, Emeril Lagasse, and... Bruno Magli), has abandoned the air of bespoke goods endowed by hands of Italian artisans. This decanter prominently bears a gold embossed "MADE IN CHINA" on its packaging, seemingly unconcerned by the stigma (right or wrong) of soulless mass production that currently carries. The box - the proverbial first impression - was glued together sloppily, hardened yellow bubbles seeping from a side seam. The anonymous wooden base, constructed from a soft, lightweight wood that took impression from my thumbnail, lacks the heft and permanence of a hardwood. Rough fibers along its interior rim admit to an ambivalence toward fine finishing, while the absence of an engraved logo says, "plausible deniability." Hastily fabricated from the same wood, the stopper was marred with indentations and splatters of glue, and the brass-plated disc at its top came scratched and smudged. Perhaps most telling of all was the cheap, cloth-backed synthetic leather pull that sticks out from it, awkward as a cowlick in your coiffure, and useless as an apple stem. And, contrary to the product description, fits quite loosely and is in no way airtight. The decanter itself isn't altogether shameful, but settles comfortably in mediocrity. Unlike the unblemished, French-made whiskey glasses in my cabinet, bubbles dot the flask both inside the glass and beneath the adhesive label applied to its neck. These bubbles don't communicate intentional style or handmade character, but rather that it merely fell within manufacturing tolerances. The neck is adequately lengthy to afford a full five-fingered grip, but lacks a lip that would prevent a slip, or preclude a streaked neck from the final drip.NONETHELESS... all these shortcomings, all this inattention to detail, must be considered in light of this Bruno Magli whiskey decanter's most crucial feature and most prominent strength:Volume. This jug can hold enough booze to ease the critical eyes of even your most discerning guests, no matter their tolerances. And, in the end, there's no such thing as a classy drunk.
