I am using this shelf in my bathroom. I have no medicine cabinet in my apartment and the counter is only slightly bigger than my sink. So I purchased this to help organize and clean up the area around my sink. This was one of the few that had the correct dimensions, which is why it was the one I purchased. The finish is a little lacking, it is just stained, I would have preferred the wood to be sealed in some way to help prevent mildew. Also, there is no instructions on assembly, granted it is relatively self-explanatory, you tap the dowels of the supports into the little recesses of the top, I had to use a hammer or rubber mallet to get them to stay inside. I did not use any glue, so they could probably be removed if I needed, I also was not too particular on if the shelf is level, the pre-drilled recesses on the underside of the lid did not seem to be drilled to a precise depth, but the result does not appear crooked. Overall, it works as I was expecting, it is not fine art or masterfully crafted, but it looks handsome enough and suits my needs. Someone expecting more may need to keep looking or expect to put in a bit more effort into turning this into something more in tune with their needs. I may try to seal the wood, I could see the piece having a nice lacquer to really set it off.

I wanted to gain some space on my kitchen counter, so I bought those so that I could double stack my various containers of tea. It works great. Nice looking and very sturdy.

The holes were very rough and it took a lot of work to get the legs into them. Seems a bit unsteady even though I really pushed the legs in, once to got them into the holes. I just won’t put as much stuff on this one. Does t seem like the wood is sealed in anyway, so hopefully being over a sink and near water won’t ruin it. The color is nice.

This over the kitchen sink pine shelf came undamaged. The dimensions are 6 inches deep (which includes the routed 1/2 inch edge on the front), 30 inches long (which includes 2 routed edges on each end), and 8 inches tall. The top board is a 1/2 inch thick. Looking online, I had difficulty finding a plant shelf that was narrow enough to sit in a bathroom window. This one was narrow enough to fit and I originally planned to paint it white to match our bathroom decor. The only reason we didn't make a shelf is because we are renovating part of our house ourselves and don't have a lot of spare time. After receiving the shelf, I'm glad I already planned to paint it. Even though it was purchased for around $16, the quality leaves a lot to be desired. First off, the site described the wood as "rustic pine" which is technically correct. The pine wood is really rough and actually has splinters hanging off of it so it will need a good sanding before I paint it. The legs (or dowel rods attached to blocks of wood) just jam into the top board so I'll probably have to take a rubber mallet to them to make sure they don't pop out and make it topple over. The stain job is a bit splotchy and there are places that the wood grain didn't absorb any stain (especially underneath the top board). Also, the finish is very dull with no urethane or polyurethane shine to it (and the wood may actually not be sealed). For those of you who have sensitive noses, it has a very strong stain smell. My husband and I commented that we've seen better quality come out of a high school shop class and said we should have just made our own, which is rather sad since the site listed it as made in the US. However, the packaging says made in China. So unless you don't mind sanding and re-painting, you may be better off getting something else or making your own. I really waffled between 2 & 3 stars, because the quality is pretty sad, but I did get it relatively cheap and I think it will work okay as a plant shelf.

I am very pleased with this shelf. It sits above my double kitchen sink. I used it to enhance decorations. It holds a small plant plus some other decorative items. Before purchasing, I read some reviews about it not being very steady. I made sure the posts fit inside the holes first. After that I put some glue inside the holes and placed the post inside the holes. I let it set for one day to really seal them in. It is so sturdy now.

This thing is so junky. The wood is totally unfinished and rough. The pegs for the legs are supposed to be stuck in the main plank and the holes are not wide enough and the whole thing wobbles. When I tried to address the wobblying I used a hammer to get them to go in straight and the upper part of the pegs broke through the surface. The only reason I didn't return is I didn't want to get this garbage in Amazon trash so I put it on a garage work bench. Save your money. Not even worth 5 bucks.

Originally I purchased this for over the sink and it worked well. However, we decided to upgrade our kitchen faucet and the shelf no longer fit. Instead of returning it we decided to use it to hold some baby bottle items and we’re happy with it. It provides height, organization and I appreciate that it’s narrow as it allows space for other items.

I've been looking for a shelf like this since I moved into my house in May. I decided to take a chance on this one - and it fits PERFECTLY. It rests on both sides of my sink with a little room to spare, and is the perfect height to still be able to use the hose on the sink comfortable, while not being too tall a shelf to look awkward. It's sturdy - easily assembled. I just used a hammer to tap the legs into the shelf, and it's holding my glass soap dispenser, an elephant decoration, 2 small dish rags, and a good sized potted plant - with no problem! I was afraid it'd need some kind of extra support to not tip over - a little double sided tape on the bottom or something - but it's absolutely not necessary. Looks great too! No need to paint or refinish the shelf. Very satisfied!

Material - for the price, the Pine wood quality is what I expected.Assembly and building - No trouble putting this together, very easy and you can do it by hand. One thing that I will add is to use a a Mallet or Soft head hammer. If you don't have one, use a thick enough cloth covering the part and tab the legs with a hammer (carefully). This will ensure solid assembly.Overall: It's a shelf, rustic look (Yes), sturdy (Yes if you assemble it properly), and served it's purpose (Yes). So it's a fair overall 5 Stars. (I did take away 1 sub star for "Value for money" and "Easy to assemble" but overall it's 5 Star)Tip: I would vacuum the item and double check for splinters and sharp edges (if any), before fully using it. Love it will order again .Only thing is it could be a bit more sturdy . Was hard to get the legs into the holes aswell

Fits perfectly over my bathroom sink. This is very useful, because I have very little counter space, and I live in an apartment in which I'm not allowed to install shelving in the walls. I didn't have any assembly problems as mentioned in some reviews; if you line up the legs properly, and tap them in gently with a hammer, they fit quite snugly. As common sense would indicate, don't just bash one leg all the way into one hole; for each side, you have to tap the 2 legs for that side into the 2 holes in parallel, using a hammer, so that both go in evenly.

This is exactly what i was looking for and it looks great while giving me extra space . Great value.

Just what I needed to gain that little bit extra counter space I needed. Easy to assemble
