This table has exceeded my expectations and functionality and quality. It is more narrow than I was expecting, but it works out better for my small space. The storagr space in the middle is short but a great size for wedding in throw pillows. I will be looking for bins short enough to fit for added storage. If you want to build it with the drawers facing forward you have to reference the last few pages of the instructions first to get an idea of how to make that happen. There are no directions for that way and if you follow the instructions straightforward you will end up with the drawers facing towards the TV. It looks wonderful, but for my personal use I would find it more functional with the drawers facing towards the couch. The setup is very straightforward and easy to do but it takes a while because there are a lot of steps. It does require two people to assemble but you could get it done with just one if you are strong-willed and creative. Just take your time and pay close attention to the instruction diagrams. To lift the top you have to grab either end and lift it uniformly or it does wobble a little bit. A crossbar support between the two hinges would stabilize it a lot more. When the top is up I can comfortably lean my elbows on the table without any kind of wobble or fear of the table top going back down. In order to access the center compartments you do have to lift up the top so a side panel or something similar would make it easier to use that space, but for non-regular access it works just fine. I would recommend using coasters though because I dont know how well finish on the wood will hold up against wear. I got the lighter Grey color. Overall I would recommend this especially considering the exceptional build quality,functionality, and low price of ~$188 compared to other items of similar quality.

Perfectly sized. Small and out of the way coffee table then when we decide to so a game or eat dinner to watch a movie in the living room, opens up to fit us all. LOTS of storage too. I have kids and they Spill. Was worried the wood would lift or damag but over a year now and we love this little living room table.

I was looking for a coffee table for our family room and was hoping to.find something that would double as a small table. After a lengthy search, I settled on this on. It shipped quickly and arrived well packaged with no damage.The positives:Upon opening, the parts were easily identified and, using the directions, the table went together smoothly in about an hour. I like the storage under the top and the 2 drawers below.When closed, the height is nice for a coffee table and when expanded makes a nice table.It has a nice look and goes well with my furniture.My concerns:You do need to be careful when expanding and closing the top which is the reason for 4 stars. Be sure to be on the side in the middle. This ensures the top opens and closes evenly without putting pressure on the hinges. My grandchildren try to do it and I'm worried if they force it, they will break it. I also wish it was a little more sturdy. I need to keep reminding everyone not to lean on the top when it is opened as I do not think it would withstand alot of weight.Overall I am happy with my purchase and would buy it again.

Functionally great! Worth the price

I live in a studio apartment, so compact storage and multi-use furniture is a MUST. This table is perfect.Positives--it is small, but does not seem like a child’s table (I used to have a similar table but it was so tiny and short)-I can actually fit my legs under the tabletop when I’m on the couch and it’s pulled out (the old similar table came up to the edge of the couch when pulled up)-I haven't had a dining room table since I’ve moved here cause even the folding ones took up a lot of space. This doubles as that without taking up any more space than I was already using.-there is a good amount of storage! It’s nice because I have some hidden storage, but also an accessible spot to put stuff I use frequently (like my notebook and medicine).Downsides--it is not soft close. It does come with padding to attach to the underside of the tabletop, but it still slams down if you let it.-it must be pulled up with 2 hands, otherwise it kind of wobbles. However, this is common with this kind of table in this price range.-the shallow storage. I had to find a new home for some of the stuff that was in my previous table, but it really is not the end of the world. But it would definitely be nice if even one storage part was a little taller.Overall, I would 100% recommend this to anyone living in a small space. It makes me really happy that, without taking up any more space than I was already taking up, I now have more storage and a place to host people. I’d say this is probably the best and most useful purchase I’ve made in a long time.

Takes 2 to build but an awesome outcome, plenty of storage and cool functionality

Works well. Not as difficult as some others say it is to assemble. Inner board didn’t hold up well to my cat laying on it though, she not a heavy cat. Other than that it’s holding up well.
