Wow! Super effective product. Breathes new life into leather
Really brings out the shine and breathes new life into the leather. Super happy with this product and how easy it was to work with. Leaves the leather feeling soft and smelling nice. I’ve never greased shoes before but I purchased a cheap pair of boots of Vinted and hoped I could restore them. I think it’s safe to say I did that. Great product, great value for money, highly recommend 100%

Love the smell!
Nice product with (in my opinion) a great smell, I'd wear that as an aftershave! SmokeyIt goes on easier than my usual dubbing that I've used, soaks into the leather nicely, I would say, as others have pointed out, it will darken pale leather, but that's pretty obvious for any 'liquid' that soaks into leather, first tin here, but won't be my last.

This stuff is brilliant
I'm a forest school teacher and so my leather rigger boots get to meet a lot of mud and rain this time of year. I've always used dubbin (I usually leave the tin on the boiler or radiator to soften up) but this can be tricky as many dubbins are quite stiff and take a lot of application and I was looking to try something else. This product goes on really easily without being too tacky. My boot leather is soft and supple and my boots hold water really well even when in stream water. Quite an 'old school' turpsy smell to the product which I personally quite like. Tip: get as much mud off your leather boots and soles before entering the house, then I use a car sponge and a little water to remove the rest of the mud. Allow the boots to dry in a dry, warm but not hot location (not near radiators or heaters - the leather will crack - stuff the insides with absorbent paper if wet inside) and then use a soft brush to remove any excess dry mud or dust. I then applied this product very evenly with a cotton cloth (which is now sacrificed to be the boot cloth) all over and work especially into all stitching, seams and where the upper meets the sole. Repeat periodically until your boots are nice and supple (I re-applied this product about 3 times in 2 weeks and mine are spot-on) I'll now use once a week.

For once, something that really does work!
Almost unbelievably good! Expensive, but worth every penny and I 'll never go back to using any previous products for my hiking boots. So easy to apply too.

Easy to apply - does the job
I've used loads of different products on my leather boots, bags and shoes and am a great fan of Dubbin and NikWax; that said, most products have their good and bad points hence a constant search for that 'perfect' product - Huberd's Shoe Grease is just another product in this search! When I saw this on Amazon, I was totally swayed by the retro styling of the tin - even before reading the reviews! The grease itself is a very soft product. I wore rubber gloves to apply it to my boots - the product goes on very easily and because it's soft, it is easy to work it in to the leather thoroughly. The grease darkened everything that I used it on but from the reviews I was expecting this. The grease does have a smoky pine smell which to me, was slightly reminiscent of coal tar soap - the smell is not too strong. So far, the grease has done the job and my feet (and hands - yes I used it on gloves) have stayed dry I've not had to reapply it to any of my boots yet.Recommended for use on tougher boots and shoes (e.g. work and hiking boots).

Incredible product
Have been using this product now for a while (motorcycle boots and outdoor shoes) it has been a revelation! They keep them both completely dry. 100% satisfied.

Great quality product for my dr martens
Been using on smooth leather Dr Martens. Easier to rub in with fingers, leave for 12 hours or more and then buff and wipe excess. Much better than the dr martens balsam and dubbin. Grease does have a Smokey smell to it, but dissipates after a few hours from buffing.

Love it!
£18 roughly for 200 grams of wax. Quite pricey for a small tin, so you'd hope it would be worth it.Initially I was skeptical as I've tried expensive waxes before however this stuff is GREAT! I tried this product on a very old, worn pair of work boots, I've attached a picture. These boots were extremely cracked, dry and the waterproofing was wearing out. However 2 applications of Huberd's wax soaked in and it has given these boots another lease of life! The wax repeals water very well and because the wax soaked into the leather, it hasn't seemed to show any signs of wearing off in the past week I've been using these boots. And I'm very rough with these boots in my line of work so it shows how good this stuff is!I have now applied these to my other leather boots and also to a brand new pair. All retained there correct colour, repel water perfectly and it also smells really nice. Like others have said, a smoky bacon scent.Don't hesitate because of the price. I did for while and I regret I didn't buy this sooner! Its worth it and a little goes a long way. Thanks guys, a great, natural product and another happy customer :)
