Two generations of fun
I took my granddaughter shopping for spring break & bought a set of Lincoln logs. Now days everything is a predetermined set; so we decided to make our own Lincoln Log village. This was the second set in our project and it is an awesome set. I love all the detailed pieces and I'm glad I ordered it when I did because I only paid $50.00 for it. These sets will stand the test of time and will surely be passed down to be enjoyed for many years to come. It's a fun, it's a priceless bond between 2 generations and it's NOT a video game or a computer.

very nice!
I got this on black friday for a good deal and was still amazed by the high quality. It's fun and easy to put together and the kids love it. The train is cute and you can make up your own little houses for around the railway. Love the small figures but could be a choking hazard for young kiddos.

Great Quality and Design
As with all Lincoln Logs products, Lincoln Logs Redwood Junction is a great product. The train and the train tracks are very well made and very well designed. Grandsons ranging in age from 3 to 10 enjoyed constructing the set and incorporating it with previously owned Lincoln Logs to create a small village. Only reason for 4 stars as opposed to 5 stars would be the lack of permanent storage -- once the box is opened, it is less than ideal for storage purposes. Other reviewers had indicated the same issue. Purchased separate storage container, but certainly would have preferred that the manufacturer had designed a permanent storage solution to enhance this wonderful product!!

A Classic that entertains the young ones.
Believe MagnaTiles are the new version of this concept. Children can build houses and other login cabin-type objects. Made of real wood that is nice. Purchased these back in 2013 for $40. Now the price is way higher than MagnaTiles. Do not know why this is, but the set offers many hours of constructive fun. Much better than placing your child in front of a television.

I never opened the package
I did not open the Lincoln Logs. The package was in such bad shape when it arrived that I immediately sent it back without even looking at the contents. I was very disappointed with the way it was shipped and, as a final insult, the package was shipped UPS.UPS turned it over to the local post office to deliver. The mail carrier left it on top of our mailbox, which would have been ok except that we live on a busy state highway and the package could have very easily been picked up by anyone who wanted to steal it. All in all I was very unhappy with the way this was handled.

Disappointed with selection of logs
There are over 125 short pieces and very few long and intermediate lengthpieces. We couldn't build anything with just the short pieces so, a purchaseof additional logs is necessary in order to fully use all the short pieces. It's disappointing to buy a product and then have to buy an additionalproduct in order to fully use the original product. The logs are also not as precisely cut as the original ones I had as a kid.therefore, the structures are rather wobbly.I'm disappointed. Amazon must not check the quality of products offered.

These aren't you fathers... well... MY Lincoln Logs.
They've changed since I had them as a child. They smell odd and don't fit very snug. Complete several suggested builds per the instructions and none of them we particularly stable. They were easily knocked over when my son was playing with them. Great from a nostalgia stand point. Poor from a practical one.

Well made, unique, classic toy
My two songs love this set and I can tell they will for a long, long time. I like that the set is built the same way the sets were built when I was younger. Any child above 3 will love it and even more if your kid/s are into train sets.
