Handy tool
Great item. Works great. Had a similar all plastic version by another maker that is not longer available- this works as good but is made better and is actually somewhat adjustable. I have already had to replace the rivet, but have otherwise had no problems... and I do leave it out in the dun from time to time snd in the Phoenix area, that will kill plastic pretty quickly, but I've been using it several months. I like it so much I bought a back up just in case (my last one died because one of my kids dropped it and the sun weathering cause the plastic to break beyond repair...)

Quality of the prongs are a little iffy, but it does the job well.
Assembly was odd, but I found out how to do it correctly. The prongs on my last aluminum piece hold, but one is stuck (?) and won't pop out through the hole it's supposed to. Honestly? I have no complaints, it's not like it's fallen apart or anything as I'm doing laundry. And trust me, I'm not gentle with my clothes lol! It's 20x better than a plunger with holes drilled in it (like I had before.) Definitely get it, even though it's a bit pricy.

Best Tool for Handwashing Clothes!
I’ve been using this clothes washer (exclusively) for 6 months - and boy does it get the job done well! You’re probably thinking “I can just use a toilet plunger.” and you’re right, you could. I did, and that’s why I can compare the methods. And it doesn’t compare to this one.Handwashing with this washer has gotten my clothes cleaner than any electronic washing machine has.Why 4 stars out of 5? Well, it’s more like 4.4999 stars. As with anything that receives repeated use, you have to tighten things down every so often - not a big deal. What I don’t like is how hard it was to put together the first time (if you don’t have dexterity, I hope you have a friend that does), sometimes water can get trapped in the tube portion (and looks gross coming out), and there’s just the slightest give in the tube/stick part where it may wobble ever so slightly. None of these are big deals at all, though.Great value for the money as this has stood up to multiple weekly washings for 6+ months from the smallest intimates to a queen size wool blanket, and it’s really a clean you can truly, truly feel.Pro tips:- Pair this with a spin dryer - I can’t ever go back to wringing.- 50 plunges is the minimum. After using it for a while, you’ll get a feel of what that feels like and you won’t have to count.- Wash, Wash, Rinse - this should be sufficient for most things- Tighten all the parts every so often- Shallow plunges are okay - as long as you can hear it “breathe”- Use less detergent than you think. (No, really…less…even less than that…)Buy it!

Sturdy, well designed, but read before assembly
Loved the quality overall and ease of disassembly and ready storage pouch. However, the cast metal threads on either end of the rod that enters the handle and the cone shaped plunger were not cleared of the sharp casting seams and flashing from the molding process and can destroy the softer plastic threads inside the handle and plunger upon assembly. Inspect them and file the excess sharp thin metal from between the threads before assembly. I didn't see the problem until upon feeling resistance to turning, I unscrewed the handle from the plunger and found that the sharp metal extending into the trough of the metal threads had damaged the plastic ones inside the threaded plunger tube and gouged a considerable amount of the softer material away. This is a deficit in finishing and easily corrected before assembly. The item is much higher quality than I expected in every other respect.

Makes life easier
It's that tool you didn't know you needed. Since buying this I have used it regularly. Its easy to put together and take apart for storage, sturdy and even if its not broken down and placed in the storage bag it takes up very little room. I hung it on the wall with the washboard. Its easy to clean and can take a beating. The handle design makes it so easy to get stubborn clothes clean.

Handle- They don't care
3rd use since purchase. Washing 24 tube socks in 5 gallon bucket and plastic handle snapped at connection to aluminum shaft. senario : dry dirty socks filled a bit less than 1/4 of bucket; filled in with 2 , 2 1/2 gallons of water, plunging semi-vigorously I would say. At the plunge to rinse cycle (AFTER 1 AND 1/2 WASH CYCLES) handle snapped. Why its made with a hollowed out cross section (hollow round section with a cross bar filler) is ridiculous for the price.American made at Chinese quality, should just bought Chinese then.
