Installation easier than expected
After much deliberation, procrastination and a few glasses of wine, I decided it would be much easier to cover the glass doors to the craproom than clean out the crap. And I was right. But nervous. I read a lot of reviews stating this stuff was hard to use and stuck to itself and made a mess with the water, etc. I didn’t find any of that to be the case at all.I ordered a roll for each door, held it up and eyeballed it and then cut the whole dang strip lengthwise. I taped it to the wood above the glass insert at the top of the door, sprayed a healthy volume of fine mist water from a travel size spray bottle and grabbed a credit card to squeegee the film to the door and swoosh out the droplets. Had a microfiber towel on hand to wipe away the excess water. It was easier than expected. Just keep watching the sides and make sure it’s lined-up. At the bottom of the glass I eyeballed it, cut off the unused portion and stuck it down using the same water method. Done. The next door I decided to try a different tactic. Because why keep using one that works when you can potentially screw it up, right? Yeah, so I cut as I went. Still taped the top of the roll to the wood at the top of the door to hold it in place while I was lining it up. Then I stuck one side flush to the edge and cut the other side with an exacto knife as I was sticking it to the glass. I made some bad cuts and you can tell but that’s not the point. The point is, the first way worked much better. The film stuff is very easily manipulated, easy to lift off and re-stick many (many) times. The tape at the top was a huge help. The crap inside the room is still visible, but blurred and not screaming at people when they come in the front door, like before the film. (Those were dark days.) The opaqueness is perfect for jambling the contents of the room, rendering the books, crafts, books, pens, books, I’m not sure what all is in there stuff colorful but not identifiable. Perfect!!!I’m trying to get a good pic that doesn’t make it look like it’s not stuck in some places, because it is! This hasn’t lifted or peeled or done bad things at all. It’s been weeks and all I have noticed is the peace and tranquility of the mess-free happy place. So in conclusion, we are very pleased with this project (especially my hubby who just glides past the doors now as if they are a fine piece of art). Hmmm, what else I can hide instead of clean….*Pic shows light from the open windows inside the room, the film is stuck very well to the glass inserts. Oh, and they are beveled glass too so that’s extra cool. You can make out the white cabinets and colored stuff but photo also shows the jambling. It’s beautiful science.** For those who are curious, I applied the film to the inside of the doors. Guess you could do both sides for extreme jambling.

Love it!
This product was amazing! Got a price for reeded glass and it was 3 times the price of clear glass. Bought this instead and looks just as good. Easy to apply and cut to fit.

Decent and effective
This is not as frosted as I thought it would be but still does provide some privacy. I got this primarily to block my dogs from seeing the mailman and pedestrians outside which cause them to bark like crazy. I was also surprised by the heat reduction. I didn't have high hopes for that but its working pretty well for the cost.Installation is comparable to similar products I've used. Just make sure you use a lot of water and a sharp blade to trim.

Super pretty window cover!!
Wow- grabbed this quick & didn’t read that it’s static not adhesive but oh my gosh I’m so glad I got it. It was sooo easy to put up and looks sooo good so people can’t see right in my laundry room window!!

Looks like reeded glass. Effective and a great value.
I wanted reeded glass for my upper kitchen cabinets, but the cabinet manufacturer only offered clear glass in my cabinet color. Rather than replacing the glass, I decided to try this film as an inexpensive alternative. It worked better than I expected. The film produces a very effective 3D depth effect that convinces the eye it is looking at actual three-dimensional glass ridges. The attached pictures will give you an idea of what it looks like, though I think it looks better in person than in the photos.

Girly with minimal home improvement skills seal of approval!
I was inspired by the person in the commons who said they grabbed a glass of wine and started applying the film and that it was easy. She changed my perspective. I was dreading this, but after about one hour and a half I was able to create a window that I used to hate to one that I absolutely LOVE!!dont use soap 🧼 i read somewhere to use soap, just use water but make sure to clean your window otherwise the stains get stuck and look weird..I was able to do this, im a first time apartment girly and if i can do it you can do it.Debating if i want to buy more …I had an ugly back view but this was perfect. I still get sunlight. Feels natural.Easy to install. Not super sticky where its sticks to itself but gets stickier with water.Measure and cut evenly. Im a bad cutter and it still came out good. Hard to tell and appreciate in the image. I debated for a while if I wanted a design with flowers or if I wanted something more simple I’m happy that I chose this design because it looks natural and timeless

Difficult to remove air bubbles.
I love that I added the window film to my sliding glass doors. I centered it on the window leaving 20" uncovered at both the top & bottom. Total privacy without losing sunshine!

Good temporary solution when you need privacy
Cost effective solution when you need privacy and either haven't installed or can't install blinds or shades in that location. Use water to smooth the product onto the window or the corners will begin to pull back. If you do have dog eared corner, just add a bit water to the area and remooth the vinyl back in place. So far, this solution has held up for about a month while I wait for a frosted glass window to replace the existing window.
