Best headphones I've ever had
These are exactly what they say they are - they leave your ears open to outside sounds, and put sound in via the bones in your temple. They work very well! For sport - it's often important to be able to hear outside noises, eg traffic. When running in races, it's imperative - if the marshal / umpire gives you instructions and you don't hear them, with these Trekz Air they will repeat the instructions. If you have something in your ears they will probably simply disqualify you. How often does that happen? Hardly ever but I wouldn't like it to happen to me.The rest of the time these are my favourite headphones - and i have quite a collection. I'm prone to ear infections and blocked canals. Whether it's to do with mobile phone use, or headphones, or pollution, it's certainly aggravated by stuffing an earbud into my ear and backing up the wax and muck. My ears get very sore. But since the Trekz Air don't push anything, over the last 6 weeks of use my ears are a whole lot recovered so they're not constantly itching.*Do they give the best sound in the world?* No, I don't think so. Apart from anything else, they don't pump out huge volume, more like speech than a deafening concert. They let in outside noise (although you soon get used to distinguishing which is outside noise - coming through your ears - and which is your choice of sound - via bone. Actually that's another advantage, as with headphones everything is coming through your ears so it's more difficult to distinguish). And they don't fill your head with immersive sound because of not blocking everything else out.*Battery Life*. I probably get 3 or 4 days' use out of each charge, bearing in mind that I'm using them for running, meditation, stories overnight, and during the day. And a little recorded voice says "Charge Me" when they are due a charge.*Comfort*. As indicated above, I used to get sore and itchy ears. That alone makes them more comfortable. They are lightweight and don't flap when I run (the band around the back is very lightweight and doesn't have its own momentum, the supports around ears are very comfortable). And the grip on each side of my head is confident rather than firm.*I wish:* I wish that they (and other headphones) would tell you the % battery left when you switch them OFF, as well as when you switch them on. I need to know when I'm taking them off whether i need to charge them before the next run! I also wish the volume controls were a little bit easier, but I use volume controls often enough so they can't be too bad! And I wish the volume controls could be sync'd to the phone. My Galaxy S8 sets itself to maximum bluetooth volume to transfer the control to the headphones (considered best practice) but at maximum bluetooth volume it clips, even when the headphones are playing at a much lower volume. For my purposes, they are the best headphones I have ever had, and I use them by preference for everything, including meditation. But then I'm not listening to opera on the London underground, so your needs may vary.

Not as expected
Not so comfortable. The sound quality is alright -ish, I wasn't expecting much more but what disappointed me is the volume, it's definitely too low. I think this technology has to improve still a lot. Sending it back to Amazon.

Great for running, safety, and talking whilst listening to music
Overall I am impressed with these. of course, I can only give it 1 star for the noise-cancelling as they are made for you to be able to hear your environment around you. They fit very comfortably on my head, I have quite a large head and always have issues with finding things that fit from hats to glasses and headphone that squeeze too much, I also used to get VERY frustrated with earpods, in-ear headphones and like falling out all the time when running, but these have solved all my problems. From a sound quality perspective I find these good, of course, they are not as good as a Bose, Beats, or something like that, a real music connoisseur may find the sound little tinny, they don't have much base (compared to similarly priced earphones) this not a problem for me at all, and if you turn them all the way up you can feel the vibrations, but you do get used to this feeling very quickly. I only listen to music when I run and find these very good especially considering I can still hold a conversation with someone whilst wearing them and listening to music at the same time. I find these especially useful when running in the city and you need to have your wits about you, from traffic to cyclist whizzing passed you, you can hear everything around you (and your music) all at the same time.Due to the wrap-around design though, if you are in s situation where the back of your head will rest on something, think in bed watching Netflix, on the plane or in the car, it can be annoying as the headrest will have a tendency to push the earphones off of your head so you can't hear anymore. The only improvements that I would offer are to make them waterproof.I would recommend these especially if you like to run with music and other people, you can talk and listen to music all at the same time, they are great for safety and allow you to hear your surroundings, and if you like trail running you can hear the birds tweet and the dogs bark as they chase you away.....

Exactly What I Wanted, Great Product
I'll start by saying these are excellent and I'm really pleased with my purchase.I'll also say that if you're looking for normal headphones, you should look at something else. To me these fulfill a specific role that normal headphones don't - I use them for cycling primarily, as they allow me to hear traffic too. If I was sitting in a train or airplane they would be much less enjoyable. The headphones themselves are very comfortable and light, I was wearing them around the house to try them out and completely forgot they were on, as far as I know this is one of the main improvements from the older models.Sounds qualities not as good as my over ear headphones, I wouldn't have expected it to be, but it's also far from terrible. I can still make out a good range of sounds even if there's not much emphasis anywhere. For this like podcasts or audibooks which I'll be using mostly they're perfect.I said above about them fulfilling a specific role as they let you hear outside noises too. They do also come with a pair of ear plugs in the box, and the sound quality and volume improves dramatically with these in (or if you stick your fingers in your ears). Even at that I thought it was silly at first, but if you only want to buy/carry one set of headphones and need these for other activities, the ear plugs will make a big difference for the times just want to listen without the background noise. You might look a bit odd though. So as I said, I think these are excellent at the role the fill (plus a bit more if needed) and I'm delighted with my purchase.
