Love this item.High quality. Smooth drawers which are very spacious.Handles maybe could do with being metal instead of plastic but that's a minor.

Bought a complete set of office items from Office Hippo from their new Essentials range so it was a bit of a punt but the prices were good so thought I would try. Really pleased with all of the times.. looks like they have been built for proper offices so should stand the test of time at home. This filing cabinet does what it says and provides what I need.

It serves its purpose. Solid and sturdy. Doesn't need assembly.

The 80cm deep pedestal was delivered undamaged & was fairly well packed with extra padding on the corners. The only assembly needed was to fit the adjustable feet & drawer handles. My unit was fitted with decent ball bearing drawer slides albeit only 40cm deep drawers in an 80cm deep cabinet !!!!!The drawer handles are nasty grey plastic affairs which I immediately junked in favour of some nice chrome bar handles (~96mm centres like many standard fittings).Be Warned : This unit is heavy and cumbersome. I managed to manoeuvre it to our second floor study on my own but use caution & know your limits before attempting such feats.Not bad for £129 on a Prime deal but I wouldn't pay too much more for one.So why only two stars ?I'll give it one for solid construction and one for ball bearing slides.Put it another way, deduct one star for the awful plastic handles, deduct two stars more for the ridiculously small drawers.

It looks great, the build quality is fantastic, and the feel of the drawers and the drawer runners is that of quality. Some drawers feel cheap, these do not. Despite buying the extra deep pedestal (800mm) the depth of the drawer interiors are probably the same as the 600mm one at 450mm. So if you're buying the 800mm deep anticipating extra drawer space, beware. I bought this to sit by the side of the grey oak Office Hippo cantilever desk and with the height adjustable feet on both I have a flush extra wide surface space to utilise.Great product, great service. Do note, delivery will come on a pallet which you keep and have to dispose of.

I got the 60cm Deep version. Its made from veneered chipboard but sturdy, looks smart enough, easy to put together and was delivered on time. Could have been better packed as there were sizable holes in the outer packaging.TWO ANNOYANCES1. The drawers internal dimensions are 425x312. If you were hoping to use the extra depth you'll be fed up because there's so much wasted space!! If you take a draw out temporarily you could store some boxes of pricey single malts or champagne in all that wasted space at the back ;-) The Supplier never replied to my email asking about that space btw so that would colour my wanting to buy anything else from them I'm afraid.2. It says on the description A4/Foolscap - that's incorrect. It is only wide enough to take A4 and won't even take unfolded A4 envelopes (C4) size. Certainly foolscap is completely impossible to file!I'm annoyed but I can live with it. I'd hoped to be happier!

This cabinet came fully made up, no flat pack. For the monies it is well worth it. Draws aren’t going to fall to bits as with most flat pack items
