If you hate pulling weeds this is the product you need. I pull existing weeds, put this down and no weeds for 6 months in Florida. Price is good, container has a flip down spreader for easy application and one container last you a year with two applications it really works .

This is an excellent investment in an (almost) weed-free garden. It is important to start early in the season for the best results. I plan to sprinkle this late March in SE Pennsylvania to be ahead of mulching. Last year, there were only a few stubborn weeds toward the end of the summer. The applicator does a great job of distribution and is light enough to be held comfortably. It can also be refilled with a larger size bag of the product. I only wish that Amazon sold this size.I often apply the 3-month size in September to extend the beauty of the garden.I have tried various other weed preventatives and none-- so far-- measures up to the reliability of Preen.

It is very easy to sprinkle. I used to buy the 4 week application ones. I really hope this lasts longer. Our old landscaper took care of it, but the new one doesn't do any weed prevention. I got tired of picking and spraying weeds. I still have to kill blackberries coming from our neighbors' yards, but it is nice not dealing with weed all the time.

5 stars for now. I put down one 4.93lb container and a few weeks later added another to see if I can keep these weeds in check. One container fills my hand held spreader.

Have not applied yet, but will update when I have used it and see what the results are. However, while the bottle design was a thoughtful idea for dispensing the media, no matter what I did I could not get the opening spout positioned in the proper direction. One must hold the bottle in an awkward manner in order to use the container. The manufacturer would have been better off putting on a cap that had holes on top with a Snap-On cover lid similar to what one would find on a bottle of Parmesan cheese. This packaging design needs to be re-engineered. In order to avoid waste, I put the product in my own media spreader.

This product is very effective to prevent seeds from weeds to propagate. I am very satisfied.
