Works well
Worked well to cut 4 holes in metal frame crossmember. 2 initial holes followed by 2 offset holes to make an oval shaped opening. Cut well with battery hand drill. Kept lubed with cutting oil & had no problems.

Best hole saw that I have ever bought.
These hole saws are really the cat's meow. I have used the cheap hole saws for years and decided to spend a buck and give these a try. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! No wobble at all and as long as you take your time, they will eat right through the steel that you are boring through (I was cutting through 1/8" mild steel). I now have several sizes and I will not use the cheap-o hole saws anymore. The hole that results is VERY accurate with no sharp edges. I am sure that these hole saws are very durable and will last me more than several years. They come with an extra center drill and spring which is a plus. I am extremely pleased with the speed with which they cut and ease of use.

Super sharp, best hole saw I have owned.
Larger boring bits require caution. Set your drill to a torque setting of 15, just below the drill setting that does not slip. That means the drill slips if it gets bound up in the material, saving your wrist! If your fighting your drill, try a lower torque setting as you cut the hole. In wood allow the bit to run at full speed before slowly dropping the hole saw into the hole. On metal, use cutting oil and the lowest drill speed. Same procedure, allow the drill to reach max RPM (on the low setting, not the high setting) and slowly drop the hole saw into the material, cut for five seconds then add more cutting oil. This hole saw is super sharp and despite multiple holes in ten gauge steel and wood it cuts like new!

Good value, a little difficult to use in hand drill
I used this hole saw in a hand drill to put vent holes in a 50-gallon drum burn barrel. The hole saw, center drill bits (2), springs, and allen wrench come in a nice plastic container. When installing the center drill bits, there is a "flat" side that needs to be aligned with the allen set screw. If these are not aligned, the center drill bit will come loose (don't ask me how I know that). I drilled about 13 holes in the barrel which is made sheet metal probably about 1 mm thick. The center drill bit cut through the metal ok -- nothing spectacular but not bad. The hole saw portion worked fine, but unless the saw was entering the metal at a perfect 90-degree angle, like it would when using a drill press, one of the hole saw teeth would catch as it cut completely through the metal and torque the hand drill almost out of my hand. After several holes I was better at keeping the hole saw at the correct angle and mostly avoid this. I ran the drill at a slow speed and used cutting oil, two important tips whenever cutting metal. I noticed a slight slow down (i.e., dulling) on the center drill bit from the first two the last hole, but expect it will continue cut fine for many more holes. The item comes with two center drill bits. The hole saw did not seem to dull over the course of the 13 holes I drilled. I would buy this again for the price and the limited number of times I expect to use it.

Buy a bottle of rapid tap.
For the price I was very impressed with the quality and it eats right through 1/2 steel plate with no problem. The key to it is keeping cutting oil on it to keep it cool and let her eat.

Tackled Stainless
This 2 inch hole saw just went through 2 pieces of 1/4" 304 stainless steel. It survived just fine and lost no teethLotta tap magic and 140 RPM

Not as durable as I hoped
The bit broke on the first try. At least it came with a backup. It was sharp and did eventually work.
