extremely sturdy, comfy, washable footwear
I love Birkenstocks but have experienced problems with buying fakes online recently. These have gone up in price since I last bought them, which is disappointing, however they are still great value for money.I wear them as slippers at home and also they are great to wear to the beach and, in these days when we are all concerened about viruses and hygeine, it is reassuring that they can be washed without damaging them.I have very hypermobile feet and ankles and I bought the Arizona model as the Gizeh, my usual beach wear Birkenstocks, were out of stock in my size. I used to carry the Gizeh's to the beach in my bag, however these are chunkier, heavier and take up more space, so in my last trip to the beach I wore them there and back as well.I was conerned that I might end up with sore feet or ankles, especially carrying heavy bags with towels and beach stuff, but these were more comfortable than my leather Birkenstocks. The cushioning is comfy for my feet without being too destabilising and the arch support is, as always, very helpful for hurty feet, ankles and hips.I will see how long they last and may update the review if they break or wear down soon but so far I am massively impressed with these.edited to addThe sides of the soles have worn down to the extent that I can no longer wear these without my knees hurting. I still think that these are good value as I have worn them walking long distances with a heavy rusksack on my back for 3 months. This is better value than wearing out regular, suede footbed Birkenstocks and exposing them to salt and sand, also my feet, hips and knees are much more comfortable. Yesterday I wore regular Birkenstocks for my walk and now my knees hurt. I will keep my other Birkenstocks for less demanding walking with lighter loads. If, like me, you are hypermobile and like to walk a lot over beaches, off road paths and through nature with a heavy rucksack these are a great option.

Sizing issues solved - now for world peace!
(If sizing is a concern, please see my note at the end of this review.)I needed a pair of Birkos I could wear outside when it was drizzling, or take on the occasional road trip. These were my choice, and here's why:(1) My pair (size EU42/UK8) weighs just 241 grams! You won't notice that in a suitcase.(2) They seem to be as well built as the standard product, although as the material (including buckles) is plastic I doubt they will last for many years. Depends on how frequently you use them, of course.(3) They have the usual Birkenstock supportive/shaped footbed, so you can win the poolside sprint next vacation, throw your towel over the best lounger, and give the Germans a surprise :-)(4) If you are worried about standing on a spiny sea creature at the seaside, these may be worth considering - although that's not my area of expertise.Negatives? Well, they are likely to get clammy because the EVA* does not breathe. Just as well, actually, as otherwise they would not be waterproof! If you can live with that, they are 5 stars.Birkenstock sizing - solved! Here is a link to what appears to be the Birkenstock UK website page about sizing. All Birkos come in two widths (narrow and standard) and one range of EU sizes. Just choose the width and EU size that are right for you and your gender. As Birkenstock puts it on the website: "In the UK men and women's sizing is different, while European sizes are unisex." All made clear on the website, with charts!www.birkenstock.co.uk/Article/View/articleCode/Sizing/In case Amazon deletes the above URL, here it is in a different format. To use, replace [dot] with . and delete all spaces:www [dot] birkenstock [dot] co [dot] uk /Article /View /articleCode /Sizing/*EVA? It's a plastic - very interesting article about it on Wikipedia if you're interested. Here's part of the Wikipedia article: "The material has good clarity and gloss, low-temperature toughness, stress-crack resistance, hot-melt adhesive waterproof properties, and resistance to UV radiation." Sounds perfect for summer. Apparently it is also used as a cold flow improver for diesel fuel. Funny stuff.

Sorry - Not that comfy for me
Very lightweight, not an inexpensive product, arrived quickly. However, not that comfortable for me, quite firm, unforgiving & stiff. I tried wearing them for a good few days to see if things improved but it didn’t. If you’ve got comfort issues I don’t think this is for you. This is only my opinion.

Original product and good seller. I recommend it
Always buy a number less, example if you use number 8 buy the number 7 that will work. I needed to make an exchange and the seller was very attentive to me. I come here to thank the service
