Worked perfect on '06 Grand Marquis.
Installed on a 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis (mechanically identical to Crown Victoria). Fit perfectly.Installation took about an hour. I balanced the hitch on a floor jack to lift it into position, wiggled it into the desired spot, and marked hole locations with a paint marker. There is some wiggle room as the hitch's holes are slotted. You'll need to drill the 1/2" holes in your frame; I used a Harbor Freight stepped drill bit which went through the steel like butter even with a cheapo drill. Once that is done you fish the carriage bolts through the frame with square-holed washers that keep them from spinning. A wire-style fish tool is included and works well for the forward most holes. The rear holes didn't need it. I did need to slot the rear holes slightly to allow the head of the bolt to wiggle past the bumper impact absorber. Once the bolts hung through, I used the jack to lift the hitch into place. Installed two shims on the rear bolts to make it sit flush with the frame, and installed the nuts with Loctite. The completed assembly hangs just barely below the plastic bumper cover so it shouldn't rub unless yours is saggy from broken clips. I'm pleased with the unit and it seems stout. The kit includes extra hardware for different applications: extra shims, wedge shims for station wagon installations, and an exhaust hanger bolt with shims for Town Car exhausts.

High-quality hitch
Very high-quality hitchEasy to installFor the Lincoln town car/crown Vic you do have to drill into the frame and relocate the passenger side exhaust mountAll bolts supplied, including for the exhaust relocationTook less than an hour doing it in my yard by myself with a floor jackGreat videos on YouTubeVery low profile from the back all you see is the receiver hole

Quality, Heavy duty hitch.
Put this on my 2003 Town car, fits well, is heavy duty and came with a prefect finish. The box it came in was totally destroyed, but fortunately the bag of bolts and mounting hardware was securely taped to the hitch. Installation by myself took about 2 hours, it was just time consuming. On Town cars the passenger side exhaust bracket has to be removed and remounted to the hitch with provided hardware, easy enough. The instructions call for the complete removal of the factory plastic skid plate that covers the bottom of the trunk area. I did not do this because the skid plate holds the rear bumper skirt in place, which without it would have no support. At the same time, the hitch will not fit in place. On the driver side I just cut off the skid plate mounting bracket and small piece that extends up the side of the trunk pan for several inches. The hitch then fit perfectly to the frame and I was able to leave the rest of the skid plate there to support the rear skirt. All the hardware is of good quality and the "fishing wire" worked perfectly to feed the bolt through the frame. For the wiring harness I used a Hopkins Towing Solutions 11140505 harness kit, which took about 10 minutes to install and works perfectly. I did not drill any holes for the plug, instead when I use a trailer I will simply run the plug out the trunk.

Great quality and shipping time
Used a motorcycle lift to get in the right spot - then drilled small holes to mark the dead center of the four bolt holes. Lowered and drilled holes to proper full size, re-lifted and bolted on = very easy and works great!

Perfect fit for a 1995 Lincoln Town Car
This was the first trailer hitch I have ever installed. It fit my 1995 Lincoln Town Car perfectly. I was a little intimidated by this hitch because I had to drill four holes into the frame. Now that it's done, I could kick myself for waiting so long to install a hitch because it was so easy. I installed it by myself in about 2 hours. I used a floor jack to hold the hitch against the frame of the car to mark the holes and was able to "fish" the bolts thru the frame without a problem.I'm picky when it comes to how my car looks. I didn't want a big ugly hitch sticking way down in the rear. Well, the only part of this hitch that's visible is the receiver itself. The main hitch bar is completely hidden under the bumper. In fact, I think it actually looks good on the car.The hitch did have a few scratches in the paint from shipping, but that was easily taken car of with a good quality automotive spray paint. Even if you didn't paint it, you wouldn't be able to see it because it is so well hidden.I'd recommend this hitch to anyone that has basic hand tools, a couple of hours to spare and needs a hitch on their car.

Excellent Value
Installed on a Crown Vic. The hitch is much sturdier than the car frame. Installed this by myself in a couple hours. There is a bit of squeaking as it touches the trunk bottom in places.
