As much as I dislike cats, I've always tried humane methods to deter them. Tabasco spray, eggshells, coffee grains, citrus, netting, chicken wire - these cheap methods sound good but they don't work and it can be inconvenient to put down something like netting only to have to bring it up again to be able to tend your garden. Recently, when a cat started visiting my back garden, I knew I needed something like this sonic device from my experience of what doesn't work. Now, cats still attempt to wander through the garden in the early hours but they don't linger and take off when the sensors are triggered. I bought the twin pack thinking I would rotate them but currently have them working simultaneously. A single device might be enough for a garden up to about 70 sq. metres depending on layout and where the pests are going. I'm having to charge them every two weeks - this might be too frequent for some people - but for me, it's preferable to having cats spoil a garden I work hard to maintain.

Hit and miss. The one in the back garden has kept the cats away, now they just stare through the fence, but they are still loving the front garden every so often despite the noise and flashing. I think the trick is to have it going but clear any poop straight away (because the scent is stronger than the sound of the repellent) and use cat scatter for a couple weeks until they find somewhere else they are comfortable with!!

Product does what it says. It seemed to Deter the Badgers to begin with but they just seem to find their way around them. Need to keep moving the product. Had a problem with one but put it on charge for a couple of days to give a good charge and started to work again.

Had foxes and badgers in our garden and not sure this has helped scare them off. The noise is quite annoying when you are in the garden as you can hear it and the batteries seem to go quite quickly even though it says they will recharge on solar. So overall an average product.

Easy to put together and works from day one. No problem with cats now.I bought 3 and placed them round the garden. Very good.

With a house adjacent to fields we get invaded by rabbits. They dig in the flower beds; the veg. patch; and the lawn. These machines have been effective in deterring them from visiting us. When ordering a second two pack we noticed there is a new more powerful version - the Voss.sonic 2200. Range is increased to 10m, and the angle of coverage to 135 degrees. We have upgraded to these. We previously tried other makes of cheaper options - but Voss have proved to be the most effective for us.

The mounting post easily snaps when you push into the ground.
