Q: Is that silvery product picture correct? The description shows an entirely different product (which matches the manufacturer's website)

This amp says T400-4 on the face. Although the amp that I had has a completely different look. I think this may be an older design of the RF amps. Power series are good amps and the only type I run... I have been running a Power 1050s since 2001. I don't even bother with Punch or even Prime series.

Q: My HU has 2.5v preamp votage. Setting amp gain at 6 or above gives me audible hiss at any volume. The higher the more. What should I do to get louder?

I had the same issue until I followed sonic electronix guide to Amp tuning. I followed the guide and the hissing stopped. Seems like I turned up the gain too much. At 75% volume on your HU, you shouldn't hear any hissing if no music is on or plugged in. In this case you tuned your amp correctly to your HU. To get it over with you can spend the money to have a professional do so, but I suggest you to follow up some guides on the internet. The sonicelectronix amp guide is a great guide for tuning your amp with your HU. Just Google guides and it will help you.
