Compass for map reading
The media could not be loaded. Decent compass, ring is nice and tight, one thing is it doesn't run out of batteries. Happy with my purchase.

Its a cheap compass which will probably do the job
Just for hillwalking around UK this should do the job as a cheap compass easy to read what extras are really needed

Silva for a third of the price?
Almost identical to my military Silva {degrees not mils} and a third of the price..... but it's early days, and I do not expect it to last like my Silva did, but I can't find it - hence the purchase. Good enough for day to day map work and a cheap way into orientation, both the sport and the skill. This will only get occasional and not heavy use, otherwise I would have paid the extra and gone for the real thing, a Silva.
