Great blinder or wash for small clubs, tricky as an uplight
The media could not be loaded. The OLDLAMP Spotlight COB 80W is a warm/cool LED lamp, rated output? input? 80 Watts (Lumens. You rate LED lights in Lumens). It's a nice little lamp, and it's going to look great for a club band lighting rig as a blinder- bright, but not too bright. The diffuser on the lens, plus the shape of the reflector, gives a nice big wash. If you are doing any front lighting with this, it's OK. Light level drops significantly with distance, so if you're lighting up a large area, you'll need more lights.I did a short video showing the color of the lighting close in, and the phone was right next to the lamp, so you'll definitely hear the lamp over the ambient sound in the room.As a blinder and backfill light, it'll work fantastic for small club venues. Just the right amount of dazzle during a song can really accent the performance.DMX: 6 channel, although the control menu allows both A000 and D000 (Commonly, A000= max DMX channels and D000=min DMX channels)- on this light, it just switches the location of some control channels (D000 swaps DMX channels 5->2, 6->3, 2->4, 3->5, 5->6)1- Dimmer2- Strobe3 - color patterns4 - color pattern speed5 - warm light level6 - cool light levelCan't really be used as an uplight unless you use a 90° XLR connector. The bracket isn't deep enough to allow a straight XLR connector to clear out of the way and allow the light to point straight up, unless you figure out another mounting solution for the light. It would be handy if the light had a power outlet so you could daisy-chain other lights.Lamp body is made of some cast metal, presumable aluminum, nice and light.I'm getting more!

Bright with cool white and warm white LEDs
Included in the box is the light, yokes, and instruction manual. The light and yokes are made of metal. The power cord is hardwired. No remote is included. The LED panel is made of both cool white and warm white LEDs. There is a frosted plastic lens, and a place for either barn doors or a gel frame, although the manual doesn't explain. The housing is about 5.5 inches wide, and about 7 inches deep. With the yokes extended, the light is about 9 inches tall. The light can be controlled via DMX or rear LED panel. The cooling fan is noisier than most lights. This shouldn't be a problem if placed high or using for a live band or DJ. There are two DMX modes. Each are 6-channel but have different control channels. This light is very bright. The back panel has three modes, warm white, mixed, and cool white. The mixed mode seems to favor cool white more than warm. The back panel also lets you customize the amount of mix, as well as the brightness. There are also three transition modes: jump, cross fade, and pulse. There is a speed control for the three modes. There are two sound modes: always on, changing with sound; and always off, flashing with sound. Although there is no sensitivity control, I found the light to react well to loud sounds. It doesn't trigger with nearby speech or background noises.Although the manufacturer describes this light as spotlight, I would classify it as a flood. There's no mechanism included to narrow the beam angle. After running the light for several minutes, the lens and housing were warm but not hot to the touch.Overall, this is a semi-professional grade COB light. I'm impress with it's brightness and versatility. It's only strike is the fan loudness. With DMX control, white mixing, and intensity controls, it should be happy integrated with your current lighting setup.

Quality not as expected.
The quality of the lamp did not meet my expectations. I noticed that it overheats very quickly during use, which raised concerns about its safety and performance. As a result, I decided to return the product for a refund.

What a cool spotlight, I had no idea I wanted one. :)
Who couldn't use a spotlight, for special occasions it's pretty handy to have around. Mainly I thought of Halloween decorations since it includes a strobe light, but I also dabble with video recording so this could be very useful for that as well, since it's so adjustable with regard to brightness and color temperature. It's also pretty compact and easy to direct as a spotlight, but it is extremely loud. I don't have a controller for this, yet, but even without one it's very functional through the user interface. It's super bright, and I guess that the chip-on-board lighting is superior and more efficient than LED lighting. I'm all for that. It's got so many built-in pulse and gradient features too. It says it can be voice activated but I don't know how that works yet. It's fun to mess around with though, it would be interesting to look into a controller to see what else I can do with this. Thanks.
