Not soft, not silky!
"Soft Satin Fabric: 1 Yard x 60 Inch Wide Satin Fabric. Made of smooth and silky satin fabric" quote from one of the many mentions of "smooth", "soft" and/or "silky" NOT! OK, it is black.On the hand it feels rather abrasive and tough, so it might work for upholstery and similar projects, but not for extended skin contact.
