It works!
This is the best way to get garlic smells off your hands. I like this nub at the top can get underneath fingernails and make sure everything is clean. When I wash my hands with this after mincing garlic I have minimal to no odors when I used to be able to smell garlic on my hands for three days afterwards. Well made product!

SS Odor Eliminating Bar
This is a very small SS odor eliminating bar, and the only one I've ever seen with a pointed end for fingernail cleaning - ingenious. It easily also mounts (sticks) to a countertop or inside a cabinet door, so you don't have to worry about misplacing it. It gets the job done and is worth the money.

Gets rid of smells that no amount of soap and water will.
My old boyfriend has one of these, so I ordered one because I am allergic to anything scented. When I do laundry in the basement of my apartment building I get the smell of other people's scented detergent on my hands and nothing takes it off. I can wash my hands 10 times and they will still smell. Last time I did my laundry and my hands stank, I used this stainless steel soap with running cold water and the perfume smell went away - and FAST! It's fantastic!!

do the job very good but size is small
The product do the job very good as exepcted, the thin edge is very effective for nails , I would totally recommend it, however I would have give it 5 stars if the size was more bigger it kind of slip from my hand when using it

I don't feel like it helps much with the onion smell after chopping ...
I've tried this a few times with and without water, with and without hand soap. I don't feel like it helps much with the onion smell after chopping onions.

Love it!
Love it!!! First I thought it was weird. A soap made from stainless steel. Lol! Then I tried it.... Now I'm in love! Haha! If you cook a lot or clean a lot, you know your hands smells like the food or cleaning agents you used.Get This!! Use it while washing your hands like a regain at bar of soap. The smells just disappears!!! I ended up sending one of these to a few friends for gifts this holiday season. Lol!

DOES NOT WORK
Its that simple, really. I've followed directions, used cold water. Heck, I just attempted to use it before writing this review. I would be telling you something different right now IF IT HAD WORKED! My hands still have the odor of chopped garlic from last night's dinner. Simply, does this work? Should you add this to your cart? I bought an ice cream scoop for ten bucks at a gadget store a few months back. Cuts hard ice ream like a dream and gives me a perfect scoop every time. If someone at the gadget store wanted the scoop on the scoop, I'd tell them to buy one for themselves and three more for friends. In no way, shape, or form can I justify this hunk of steel "soap" nor recommend it to anyone as more than a paperweight with a cool wall mount (the mount may be useful). Ten bucks doesn't get you the same thing everywhere.Furthermore, people, please, don't buy the hype. There is many chemical theories but no explanation (or scientific experiment) as to why this supposedly works or if it even works at all. The supposed odor-removing properties of stainless steel can happen with any piece of stainless steel (again, if at all). This hunk of metal's shape is purely decorative. Please, I urge you to do 5 minutes of research on stainless steel soap before purchasing. If I had done so before rather than after, it wouldn't be lying uselessly on my table. If you still want one after that, you can have mine.Update, October 20, 2009: Just so we're clear, in my final objective attempt at giving this product worth, my hands, fingernails, cuticles, and all couldn't have been any cleaner after scrubbing with Dial Complete Antibacterial Foaming Hand Wash. I followed packaging directions (of which, there are not many) to the letter; passed the "soap" through fingers, washed for the suggested time. In fact, the first three times I used the steel "soap" I did so in this manner, with my opinion of the product subsequently lessening with each use. This disappointment spurred experimentation of my own: different "pre-wash" soaps, times of day, water temps, all with the same result. I suggest that if someone is having wonderful results with this product it may be due to a placebo effect (I experienced it on my first use, followed by skepticism) or, perhaps, due to stainless steel's supposed natural oxidation properties. Either way, you'd be better off rubbing your hands on that stainless steel spoon in your drawer (I've heard others use their sink) than spending money on a product from a company that doesn't even have a website to support its own dubious claims.
