We have an old clamshell roof top box and this made it so we could attach it to my roof rack. It required some drilling but it still maintained its water resistance. It mad a 1600 mile round trip with no issues. It made the box very secure and sturdy.

I bought this set for my Yakima Rocketbox. Now, the span of the brackets WAS SLIGHTLY TOO NARROW to fit my box (which was MY fault), but I was able to straighten/bend the brackets in a vise in order to get them to work.....I just needed another 1/2 inch of span to fit the Yakima box's holes. Very happy with product...but measure those box holes before you order!

Used item once and had no issues. Pretty easy to set up with cargo rack. Would buy again if needed.

I got a used roof box and it was missing some of the clamps. I managed to make it work with some parts from the hardware store, but it was not a good setup. so I found this and it works great. holds the box perfectly and makes it easier to remove the box when needed. Fits great on my box.
