I can't speak to the long term durability of this... but it weighs a ton! Doesn't appear to be any skimping on the steel in this.Seems very well made with a nice finish (of course, that won't last in use, but it is a good indicator at least). I think for long trips I would switch out my gooseneck hitch, but for moving trailers and short trips, I feel this would be more than adequate if you are able to properly block the fifth wheel on your tow vehicle.I would recommend.

This king pin converter is solid, heavy metal. Wanted something to deversify towing capabilities...just in case. This will do it. Snaps in easy on my Curt 5th wheel receiver and have no doubt it will handle any gooseneck.

The two star rating is not for the quality but for the fact that this setup was super dangerous. After using it to pull a gooseneck with a fifth wheel it would roll forward and backwards in between the hitches. I was told that you have to block between the fifth wheel and the base to prevent the roll but it all seems unsafe. I will not be using this again.
