Value for money tester that does the job
I was unsure of whether this is a good buy when I saw some reviews mentioning that it's overly sensitive and will buzz at just about anything. This is actually true in the default mode but works really great when you switch modes. Once you switch it on, tap the green button to switch modes (don't long press, that turns on the torch). After the mode is switched, it will still be very sensitive to AC current from a distance, but the beeping and blinking will increase when you get closer to live current and decrease when you move away, giving you a lot more granularity in sensing. Also, if it's beeping at anything and everything there's a chance of improper wiring in your room. Was getting a live current reading from a lot of DC adaptor devices in my room because of bad wiring/earthing. (Like laptops, routers, phones connected to charger, etc.)
