Aqualisa Pinch Grip sliding handset holder - 25mm - Chrome/Grey

Easy to purchase and fitted the same day of delivery. Now back to normal with push fit after a few days of a temporary plastic wood clamp.Original operated well for years and not sure why I was unable to fit back together and assume broken.

So i only needed to fit outer section as this was the bit that had broken. No removal of pole needed. You just keep the old central section that is already attached to the shower and replace the outer section. There are no instructions, and it isn't clear how to take it apart, but there's a metal pin that needs pushed out (using something hard with a smaller diameter, such as a hole punch or, if you're desperate, a pen). Then, once reassembled (on the old part attached to the shower) you just push the pin through and tap it in to its resting position.See before and after pics.

Its a good replacement for the existing shower grip but it still has the same flimsy plastic hinge inside.Make sure you get the right one for the shower head pole in your shower. Aqualisa have made both 25.4mm and 25mm versions which aren't compatible with each other. 0.4mm doesn't sound like much but it won't go on if its too small and doesn't grip properly if its too big.Fitting the grip just needs a screwdriver. Pop off the push fit cap on the top bracket. Undo the screw to loosen the bracket and free the top end of the pole. Remove the old grip and then fit the new one. Refit the bracket, reinstall the screw and push the end cap back on. The end cap only went on in one specific orientation for my shower so check for the notch and bump on yours.

A few days in, but this seems to be a genuine Aqualisa replacement for one that was many years old. Excellent functionality and my preferred 'style' of grips for Aqualisa shower heads.

Bit expensive considering it's a replica. Disappointing it's sold as an equalisation part when it is not.It is however a good replica.I had not realised the required size was 25.4mm until I took my broken aqualisa pinch grip off. I did manage to get the 25mm on but it was tight and I thought the shower pole was likely to break.I spotted in previous reviews you can take off the outer chrome and swap it with the original by pushing out the inner pin holding the chrome pinches together releasing the plastic tube in the centre. I could then open this pinch grip and attach it to my original 25.4mm plastic tube and pop it back on the shower pole. So I now have a working pinch grip again.

I replaced my broken holder with the Aqualisa Pinch Grip Sliding Handset Holder, and it's fantastic. The chrome/grey finish looks sleek, and it fits perfectly. The pinch grip is super easy to use and sturdy. An excellent replacement, just like the original Aqualisa!

All okay but last week after using shower loud crash and found the unit had fallen apart for the 2nd time after inspecting the parts the same internal clip had snapped and failed, not what i would expect from a premium product/ manufacturer
