I was deciding between the 35L and the 44L, and Osprey's official specs were wrong/confusing. I packed the 35L full and took (exterior) measurements and it was 19.3"L x 13.5"W (not 14.6") x 9"D (not 10.2"). I hope this helps someone because I was very confused when I compared the written specs for the 35L vs the 44L.Actual review:- It looks small but then you actually pack it and it holds a TON.- Great size for medium height person. 44L would make sense for taller / larger people (e.g. 6' male).- Two side pockets for water bottles, liter-size Nalgene bottle fits fine.- Two exterior pockets on front of pack, top one opens wide and has organizer for pens/chargers/cables. Would fit your quart-size zip lock of liquids for easy access through Security.- Separate computer compartment on back, false bottom to protect your laptop, loop for zipper tie for extra security.- Other thoughtful details as Osprey does. Robust carry handle on top, plus one on the side so you can heft it up or into the trunk easily,- Backpack straps can be tucked inside a special compartment if you don't want them out,- Sleeve to secure the pack on a rolling suitcase handle.Overall I'm very pleased with the design and size of this travel backpack. It's not over-engineered or over-built, has just the right amount of robustness and features, and lots of space. Great value at the regular price, an absolute steal if you find it for less. AMAZING! These bags hold so much, I was even able to fit my stuffed animal. The laptop pouch is so convenient and it fit under the seat of a Delta flight as my personal item.

Bought this for a trip to Japan. It’s comfortable, functional, and durable. Tons of storage, and travels well. Incredible value , like always from Osprey!

This is a great bag and is built well. I used it for a full weeks travel and it was nice being able to not check a bag, nor worry about a tech bag and a carry on. Highly recommend this bag. I loved the color because it makes it easy to identify when grabbing it in a dark aircraft. It was comfortable to carry, but I assume that would depend on how much weight you were lugging around. I just had an iPad and charging cables in addition to my clothes.

Great Osprey quality and love the size. Perfect for airport travel without dragging around your carry on. Love all the pockets and details and the expansion is great!

The quality is great, very comfortable to use when fully loaded, and easy to keep everything organized with the carry-on style zipper.

the blue is really a stunning color and makes it easy to identify when traveling on a plane, in a hostel etc. very comfortable to wear and great storage options with all of the different pocket options. worth every penny and looking forward to using it as a staple for traveling. perfect size for carry on or a personal item ( survived 4 countries, many buses/ taxis and 3 airlines over a 3 week trip in asia)

Bought it as personal item for flying. Have had no issues so far taking it as carry on in addition to a small suitcase. Good quality. Zippers seem really strong as do seams. Comfortable to wear, the padded, adjustable straps are awesome. Fits a lot of stuff. I used the laptop compartment to store 2 pairs of flat sandals. I like that it opens suitcase style making it easy to pack and retrieve items. Also awesome is the very wide suitcase handle strap that slides on straight up, lots of backpacks went on the suitcase handle sideways making it difficult to retrieve items. Would recommend for frequent travelers. Would buy again.
