I set it up and let it get charged only to be disappointed when nothing happened after I turned the on switch ...
Received this product on time and was excited to use it for a backyard BBQ in order to keep the bugs down. I set it up and let it get charged only to be disappointed when nothing happened after I turned the on switch to UV, only to be further disappointed when the light itself did not work. No bug zapper, no light, just disappointment. I was encouraged by other reviews so maybe I just received a dud, but be careful. I left it out again today and will update my review if it actually works on night number two......hoping I can pass along some good news.

Does it work when you charge it and turn it upside down? Weird thing.
I bought two, set them in the ground outside turned off for a few days. Then I went out and turned them on, I saw no light. I read the directions and noticed the switch didn't match what was in the poorly translated directions. I went outside at night, turned them over to see if I turned them into what would be off on the directions we would get a different result. When I turned them over the light came on, it would turn off when I put it right side up again. Both did the same thing. I left them upside down on a table, to see if they actually kill bugs, and then perhaps would be worth disassembling and tightening up whatever was loose. It did kill bugs. And after sitting upside down for 20 minutes the light stayed on when I righted them. It's a hokey weird thing poorly assembled, but it does work.

1 worked out of the box, one didn't and needed a refund
Ordered two of these, after two days of charging in direct sunlight one unit emits a faint UV light, the other one never emitted any light at all. Returning one of them and keeping the second one because I'm too lazy to return it. It is catching a few mosquitos near the chicken coop but not many and that's where I need it the most.

Change the batteries.
Out of the box, these lights worked fine... the first night. The batteries were dead by the morning, but I expected that. The second day, after having the lights in a window all day, I turned the lights on at dusk (I was testing them indoors) and the batteries lasted about 15 minutes before dying. Disappointing. I thought that maybe I had not had them in the sun long enough to recharge completely. The next day, I set the lights in full sun for the entire day. Same result. 15 minutes and they were dead. After some investigating I found that these lights are shipped with the cheapest 600mAh AA batteries possible. I replaced the batteries with some decent Duracell 2450mAh rechargeables and now the lights seem to function fine. They are still super-cheap and flimsy and I doubt they'll last the summer, but they seem to work OK, for now.

Not worth buying
The quality of these Solar Lights should be questioned. First, it was poorly packaged and wrapped. The bottom plate looks scratched and looks like some cheap shiny sticker. Also, when I tested the light, the UV light only came on when it was turned to "White" while the white light only came on when turned to "UV". I truly wonder if they even have any sort of inspection prior to throwing it all in a box and shipping it out. That was annoying but not a deal breaker. What was a deal breaker is the fact that the description said it was waterproof and can work in rain when it CANNOT. The instructions that came with the product says that if water gets on it, you have to dry it. It is ridiculous to expect someone to remove the outdoor light from the post when it might rain that day or if you wanted to water your plants and the light just happens to be on a walkway or a flowerbed. It is unrealistic and extremely misleading. I decided to test the solar lights anyways in the garage where bugs followed me in and surprise, surprise, it did not work to zap ANY bug. Not one single gnat..

Purchased 4 none worked.
I purchased 4 of these and none of them worked. They were in the sun for many days and would not power up. The directions are written by someone who's first language is not English and are unintelligible. Based on what I could make out the directions may not even be for the item they were packed with. Having said that, this does not seem to be a product you need directions for. Check the batteries are installed correctly put in the sun for several days and move the switch from the off position. I am stuck with 2 of them because I inadvertently left them at another location. It certainly makes me question the positive reviews since I had 4 duds.

Doesn't seem like bugs are really attracted to these zappers
I feel like I wasted my money on these two bug zappers I purchased. When I opened them one of them the battery compartment was open and one of the screws were out because that side is broken. The zappers glow blue or white so they are charging, but I don't fell like its catching many bugs. There are some bugs in there, but not that many in my opinion and there are definitely mosquitoes in my yard and I have the bites to prove it....

A Waste of Money
Bought two, neither work even after being in full sun for several days. When I bought these they had decent reviews. After receiving them several weeks later (shipped from China) I was excited to get them around my patio. Neither work. Went to check reviews and see if anyone had suggestions only to find the reviews have declined significantly over the past month. Guess a few of us got duped at the same time.
