Excellent sauté pans
These two sauté pans are exactly what I was expecting: non stick, dishwasher and oven safe, good weight but not so heavy as to be a problem to lift. In addition, the packaging for safe shipping was just phenomenal! Thank you Calphalon.

Calphalon® Hard-Anodized Nonstick Pans - A huge yes for me
I've been purchasing Calphalon® Hard-Anodized Nonstick pans for close to 30 years and I've never been disappointed in any of the panes I've purchased. My last set lasted close to 15 years and I feel that for how long I was able to use them they more than made up the amount I paid (Only use silicone utensils on you pans - never metal. And, never leave them to soak very long in the sink). Yes these pans are expensive, but they last a long time and don't need to be replaced every couple of years like you'd do with cheaper pans. And, because I have huge health/safety concerns I don't mind spending more for a brand I trust.

Looks good and the skillet heats evenly
Some of the reviews for these skillets indicated the handles would get hot. I already own a sauce pan and never had that happen. Both of these appear well made. They heat evenly. The handles haven't gotten hot and are definitely nonstick. Overall I like them and would recommend them to anyone. I discovered what "might" be causing the issue with the handle getting hot. I used the 8 inch skillet on a large burner on the stove. It appears the heat will rise up around the body of the pan. The handle is fine on the larger pan. If I put the smaller pan on a small burner everything works fine.

I still use Calphalon kettles from over 25 years ago
I have some USA made Calphalon brand kettles from the 1990s that still have their non-stick coating on them after years of regular use, so I googled the brand and found their frying pans for sale on Amazon. I've been using the pans for a month now to make eggs and bacon, and they still work great even though they're made in China nowadays. Super easy clean-up and seem very durable.

Not the quality Calphalon pans I grew up with
I was looking to replace the 10" skillet from my current Signature Calphalon set that met its natural life expectancy with daily use. I also wanted to add an 8" skillet to my collection, so this combo seemed like the perfect choice. If you own any of the older Calphalon cookware made in the USA, be prepared for disappointment. Calphalon has moved most of its manufacturing overseas to China and we all know what that means, cheap labor + cheap materials = cheap quality. That's exactly what you get with this set. First thing I noticed out of the box was the substantial difference in weight. The 10" skillet made in the USA weighs 2lb 8.6on while the Chinese version only weighs 1lb 8.8oz. The Chinese skillets don't have the Calphalon named engraved/stamped on the underside of the handle as the USA pans do, and the handles on the pans made in the USA have a sort of stabilizing bracket with 3 rivets where the handle attaches to the pan, while the Chinese version only has 2 rivets and no bracket, making it far less durable. Finally, the USA pans say they are "metal utensil safe" which really isn't true since I never used metal on mine but the non-stick surface still chipped off; the Chinese version doesn't make this claim on the bottom of their pans. Overall, you get what you pay for and hopefully these last until the remainder of my USA Signature set needs to be replaced, then I'll splurge for a much better quality cookware set, NOT made overseas.

I am totally sold on these Calphalon Hard Anodized pans - Highly Recommend - 5 Stars!!
I inherited a small 8 inch for this exact same pan from my mother. Had it many years and seldom used. I rediscovered the pan and started using it and am amazed how wonderful these Calphalon hard anodized pans are. Cooked food just slides off. Best pan ever for making eggs easy over. I love Mom's pan so much (and it is still like brand new after probably 30 years) that I bought a set of 8 inch and 10 inch while on sale over Memorial Day. Love them!.

Disappointed - Update
I have two larger Calphalon pans purchased many years ago. Love them both and have held up well. Decided to purchase two smaller pans and am very disappointed. They are not even close to the same quality as my others. They are much thinner and cook very hot. Not at all what I expected.7/2025Purchased an induction stove top and these pans work great! I love them now. Previously, I had an old style electric stove and they didn't work well on that.
