Nice small belt sander for sharpening knives. I did not attach and do not use the grinding wheel or buffer, so I us this as a simple stand alone mini belt sander. It comes with a nice collection of belts which are easy to change. Keeping a mid sized kitchen paring knife is challenging to keep on the guide, so I have to be carefull to keep it aligned at the proper angle. This grinder has plenty of power for my needs. It's a good mini belt sander. I'm not disappointed.

I bought this mostly for knife sharpening and other small jobs around the house. I'm pretty satisfied with it as it came with a bunch of spare belts that will keep me supplied for the rest of my life. It also has a buffing wheel and a small abrasive wheel. It's not very powerful but seems to work ok. I put a C-clamp on it to hold it to my work bench so it doesn't move around. Okay for light duty use.

One of the nuts on the bottom was missing and the other just fell off..power supply stopped working after first use..will be sending back

it was surprisingly built better than i expected it to be. works great for wood hobbies, using metal take your time a be patient dont rush your work. and has plenty of extra belts

Love this belt sharpener/grinder. I bought it to sharpen misc kitchen knives. Nice torque. I lightly ran the blade against the belt, you don't need to slam the blade!!! No need to. After a few passes of 800 and 1000 grit the knives are move than sharp enough.... I'm not a surgeon, so I didn't need razor sharp. I do have stones, but, sometimes I want to have a quicker result. To me, this more than satisfies. Don't hesitate to buy this sharpener/grinder, nice for light duty knife sharpening.

This is a nifty small grinder and sharpener. It comes with 3 different grit bands which is pretty nice. The speed controls are a bit wonky in that there is a power switch with two speeds and then the power block also has a slider that will also adjust the speed. My only complaint with this is that is too big to properly sharpen smaller knives like pocket knives or paring knives. The platform you rest the knife on is too distant from the band to use the platform to keep your knife at the right angle. It also has both a grinder wheel and a buffing wheel.
