Ineffective
Terrible. Doesn’t do a damn thing for dog behaviour. It’s a fine torch though but I don’t need a torch.

It gets 1 star as I can't give it 'Nul Points'
This is a review of the Lancoon Ultasonic Dog Repeller with LED Light.Every now and then a product comes along and you wonder why they wasted the Worlds resources making it.This is one such item.I'd pretty much come to this conclusion within a day of it arriving but I had to wait till the neighbour was home to test it's effectivness on his dog.First off….. the instruction Manual.I say Manual…. It's a single page in the folded up bit of paper that came with it in the box, the others being different languages. The page is about 2" square, so it's not the easiest thing to see if you wear glasses, and not the most enlightning instructions I've seen.In fact you get a better idea studying the pictures on the listing page….You'll need to download them as otherwise, unless or until you memorise which button is which, you will have no idea which button does what as the item looks like it has been designed by folk that design 'Stealth' equipment for the Military and you can't see what the icons are on the buttons because the whole thing is varying shades of Black.I've added pictures of the manual, the scan size was A4 so you can tell it's actual size, along with some of the unit itself so you can see that unlike those on the listing page, that must have been enhanced somewhat, you really struggle to see what's what.As for operating this item, the listing states…."has an LED flashlight function, its brightness is strong and stable, which can effectively penetrate the darkness and show you the surrounding environment clearly. You don't have to worry about not being able to see the road when you walk your dog at night."…..It does indeed have a Flashlight 'but'…. It's not that bright but it would help in the dark, just. The main issues with the light are that…a) It's not a wide enough beam to…. "Penetrate the darkness and show you the surrounding environment clearly"And…b) It turns itself off after 10 minutes. So it would just about manage if you were walking your dog round your garden but for out in the big wide world you can forget it.The shape of the item leads you to hold it with the bulge for the led reflector at the front as that's the way most of us would hold it after pulling it out of our pocket and you'd automatically press the button at the end, nearest that slight bulb at the opposite end to the lanyard but doing so does nothing as there's no mention in the instructions that you need to 'long press' the button to activate the light. When it turns on the lcd display light up to show the battery power remaining level as a %.......Upside down of course, what else would you expect ?So…You've pressed the button to actvate the light and decided to go for a 10 minute walk before it turns off when a dog comes towards you that you'd like to scare off…What do you do then ?Well, you're holding it the wrong way round for the Ultrasonic bit now so you have to turn it round so the torch points towards you, the scary dog will appreciate this as it'll help it see you, then press the button at that end, doing so activates the Ultrasonic bit and the lcd display lights up to show you which tone it's emitting, F1, F2, F3 and this time it's the right way up because you've turned it round. As to which of the F numbers you get (frequency) is determined by the 3 position slide switch on the side of the unit that you probably hadn't noticed as it's a black, low-profile Stealth button. The only bit that is straightforward is the 'Beep' button as that does actually make it Beep when pressed no matter which way round you're holding it.By now you may be wondering what happened to my Neighbours Dog when I tested it on it earlier ?Not much, it perked it's little ears up and gave me a quizzical look but that was about it, it didn't run off, it didn't look scared...in fact it didn't look bothered in the slightest bless it so I can proudly say 'no Animals were harmed in the writing of this review'.Overall it has to be one of the most badly designed products I've come across for years, it really is rubbish and at the price it's not cheap rubbish….. so it gets 1 star as I can't give it 'Nul Points'

Torch with Ultrasound
A LED Torch with Ultrasonic emitter. The light is convenient to see when walking after dark. The torch has built in Ultrasonic functionality emits three different frequencies options. It is easy to use by simply pressing the button when own dog is barking or an unknown dog is being vicious. It is a great value in preventing attacks by other dogs. I have very small dogs. They are vulnerable when walking to large build sized dogs, especially when not on a lead as they see mine as tastee nuggets. The unit is excellent for training dogs that No is Stop barking. After a few, they learn if bark, there will be a buzz - they can hear. Works very well.
