Perfect Panini Press — Easy to Use and Clean!
Versatile and Easy to Clean — Perfect for Quick Meals! This panini press grill is fantastic! I love that it opens flat to 180 degrees, so I can cook larger sandwiches or even grill veggies and meats easily. The non-stick plates make cleanup super simple, and the removable drip tray catches all the grease. The cool-touch handle stays safe to hold while cooking. It heats evenly and presses sandwiches to crispy perfection. Great for quick lunches or snacks — definitely recommend!

If it lasts a year, it will be a great investment. So far, it's great.
I've been wanting to get a panini press for a couple of years, saw the price on this machine and decided to take a chance. If you live in an area where package burglaries are common, have Amazon ship this to your work address because it arrives in the manufacturer's box. This press does not come with instructions, which can be frustrating for new users because you have to guess what temperature to use to grill. I went to the manufacturer's website, downloaded their user manual, but it didn't give any guidelines on what temperature to use for cooking sandwiches, meats, fish and vegetables. So, expect some guesswork. I cook my sandwiches at 275º, and they grill nicely. However, some types of bread will soften and not brown as well. Also, you'll have to let the sandwiches sit for about five minutes to allow the centers to cool down enough for safe eating. My favorite bread to use is the flat breads because they brown the nicest, and I can make two sandwiches out of one piece of flatbread. If you have a thick sandwich, you'll have to lower the top down slowly to avoid sliding the top bread slices and ingredients.I've also used this grill to cook bacon and grill hamburgers. While that worked well, the grease didn't pour down into the drip container like I hoped it would. That made for a lengthy cleanup, even with the scraper brush. The scraper brush is dishwasher safe. I put mine in the top rack to avoid warping. I appreciate how bristles don't stain, even when I use barbecue sauces. You'll have to be very careful not to get any food or liquid onto the control panel. I use a damp paper towel and haven't had any issues with the electronics so far. I've had this machine for a month and have never experience the error codes or shutdowns like other reviews have dealt with.Love that this has a timer with a built-in shut-off mechanism.I also like the compact design because it doesn't take up my whole counter. Also like the lightweight feel, when I need to move the press to another location. My family loves this press and uses it all the time. We love that we can use it to make a wide variety of sandwiches in a quick and easy manner. It has also cut our fast food bill in half.Overall, I give this panini press a 4.75 out of five because of the lack of cooking instructions. If you decide to buy this, go to the Ovente website and download the user manual. It offers good cleaning instructions and safety guidelines.

it gets hot so be careful
man this little grill is amazing!! its comes already put together, more metal than plastic, no latch to hold it closed when you cook but that's not a big deal to me. perfect grilled turkey sandwich. the grilled cheese is the best!! cooked hot dogs on it last night and man those were so good!! cleans up easy with a paper towel, perfect size for 2 sandwiches, and it could be gifted. I am happy with it

buen precio y buen producto
I love this product, amo este producto. I highly recomended it. specialy for couples or a single person, if you barely toast bread but still very convenient and it doesnt take a lot of space. lo recomiendo altamente especialmente a parejas o personas solas si usted escasamente tosta pan pero aun muy conveniente y ahorra espacio. yo compraria este producto una vez mas.

First of all I like to eat meat, but before purchasing this grill press I pretty much never cooked meat. Now it helps me cook fish and meat to maintain a healthy diet. I hate using the stove for cooking, therefore this is a much better alternative.First of all is the price point, $40-50 is the starting price for a decent grill press, just like this Ovente press. Compared to a Cuisinart, Breville or Foreman, the Ovente press has the added feature of a timer and electronic/button controls; especially the timer, which is absent even on other brands at the $100 price point. The timer automatically turns off the grill press when the countdown is reached. This helpful if you're not in the kitchen or doing something else in the meantime. Again, this feature is absent on other competitor brands that retail for twice the amount that this press does.Cleaning is pretty simple too. Although you cannot submerge the grill as there are electronics that should not get wet (The timer, buttons, screen, internals, etc.), but the brush that comes included helps make the job easy. Get some dish soap, go to town with the brush, and wipe it off with a Bounty tissue. Easy.No real downsides to this equipment. The only thing I noticed was the non-stick surface starting to scratch off during excessive scrubbing, so maybe avoid cleaning it very hard. I made a cutout from part of a Poland Spring 3 gallon bottle to cover the screen w/ buttons while the meat cooks so that the oil does not splash on it. It's pretty much on par with my rice cooker, except it cooks faster.

It works fine, but has its quirks
Let me say that this thing works well, but it's difficult to clean the plates, especially the top plate - they aren't removeable, which would have helped. Also, when it's warming up, the plates go "CRACK" "CRACK" "CRACK" which, the first time, scared the heII out of me. But I got used to it, even though it took me a while to figure out which settings to set for grilling a sandwich, since there's no booklet guide that comes with it. It takes less than 4 minutes to grill a sandwich.
