Does the job
this made it MUCH easier to thread the needle while doing cross stitch - just could not see what I needed to see this with bifocals - so now the needle is threaded in one try. The only issue is that one of three got stuck in the needle and broke -but the other two work just fine.

Excellent Needle Threaders
Have used the small tin ones for many years to sew on a button of small repair to clothes. Have always had a hassle with threading the needed with thread. These are better than the tin version as I am a male with larger hands. The red plastic makes it much easier to hold onto. So simple to use as well. Gently push the end of the thin metal thru needle hole. Then thread goes thru very end of small wire. Make sure to pull several inches thru and let hang next to other spool end of thread. Pinch both pieces of thread together and GENTLY pull needle forward off end of wire until you have both thread ends hanging. You will end up with a threaded needle. Pull shorter end of thread thru to make longer. Cannot be any easier than that! Watched my 59 year old wife try to thread needle by had the other day. 5min into her failed attempts, I bought out my old tin version. Showed her how easy these make threading needles with thread. Bought this 3 pack which will last longer than me. Trick with these or any wire needle threader is to pull GENTLY. Otherwise you can end up pulling the wire out of the plastic piece.

Easy to use
These make threading a needle a snap. But they're not strong, so be careful of how heavy your thread is.

Worked as needed
Nice wide opening for the thread. A prior purchase with a different brand had to be tossed as the openings were nonexistent. Sometimes going with a trusted brand makes the most sense.

Basic Needle Threaders, With Bright Red Handles
These work just like the thin metal ones. However, the bright red handles make these easier to see, much more sturdy, and more comfortable to grip. The plastic handles appear well made, and I expect them to last for quite a long time. As to function, each handle is attached to a piece of small metal wire, bent into a diamond shape. The tip of that metal wire diamond can easily be pushed through the eye of a needle, with the rest of the metal wire diamond bending together momentarily to pass through the eye of the needle. When that has been done, simply drop thread into the center of the diamond shape, and then pull the wire back through the eye of the needle. It drags the thread back with it, automatically threading the needle. The center of the diamond shape has got to be the size of at least 50 needle eyes, so it gives a "can't miss" target, instead of a target requiring precise accuracy to thread the needle. These are great little helpers for anyone who struggles to thread needles quickly, plus anyone who is developing physical limitations which make threading needles more challenging.
