No concerns
Typical experience for me - no noticeable impact, but no adverse effects. It's a pretty good value, at least. No unpleasant smell or taste, although the caps are fairly large. Recommended.

Good value fish oil supplement
These softgels are exactly the same as those in another product from the same manufacturer (SilverOnyx) sold under a different brand. As of the date of review in late November 2024, I would recommend purchasing this product over that one because it offers better value for money. The rest of this review is verbatim identical for both products. When it comes to omega-3 supplements, the goal is to increase the levels of DHA and EPA in your diet. Although I’ve reviewed a few algal oil products recently and been happy with them, fish oil is still significantly more cost effective. This product contains 2400 mg of fish oil per 2-capsule serving. A bit over half is composed of DHA and EPA, which is in line with similar fish oil products. I see the manufacturer calls this dosage “triple strength” in their marketing. Truth be told, the dosage of fish oil is kind of arbitrary. Given that most of us consume dozens of grams of fats and oils every day, there’s quite a lot of room for increasing the proportion of DHA and EPA without any need for worry. If I might insert an aside, in general, it’s worth it to do the math to figure out how much DHA and EPA you’re getting for your dollar from any given fish oil product, as there’s often no need to pay extra for “high strength” fish oil if you could simply take a little more “lower strength” stuff for less total cost.To be more specific about this particular product, I found it to be a competently manufactured fish oil from another one of those Utah supplement companies. It’s based on sardine oil instead of, say, salmon, but there’s realistically no practical difference after standardization, and it keeps costs down. As with the other “burpless” fish oils I’ve tried in the past, the “burplessness” comes from the addition of limonene to cover up most of the smell, not eliminate it entirely, and that’s just the way it is. I can say that it passes my usual taste test for fish oil, which involves breaking open a capsule with my teeth and determining whether there are any off-flavors or other red flags. Nothing wrong there, of course. All in all, if you’re looking for a dependable and relatively affordable fish oil, this is a good option.

Good value
Large softgel capsules with a moderately fishy smell. They claim to have lemon flavor for less fishy odor, but I'm not sure how effective it is. It still smells fishy to me, and I barely notice the lemon. They also claim they were bottled in the USA, but the actual bottle doesn't have this claim on it, and there's no mention of where the pills were manufactured, or the fish was sourced. Aside from that, it seems pretty similar to other fish oil supplements, I don't notice any particular difference in effectiveness. While I'm not impressed with this supplement, or the lemon flavor, they are a good value, so I think they're worthy of a recommendation.

I INVESTIGATE AND REWARD PURITY, DOCUMENTATION, AND CONTACT INFO FOR SUPPLEMENTS
** I look for manufacturer certification, testing, distributor and website accountability, place of manufacture, sourcing, dosage, listing accuracy, tamper evident packaging and expiration date. I check accuracy of nutrition claims and supplement facts and, when available, share my knowledge of usefulness, potential drug interactions, and precautions. My reviews mention any shortcomings I discover. I reserve my highest ratings for products that positively satisfy all these criteria and reduce that rating fairly for those that do not. As I gain information regarding the underregulated supplement industry, I will adjust my review criteria. **_________________________________________________________________________________________60 - two softgel doses. Made by others - unknown sustainable source.I will provide any known benefits and side-effects I experience from each supplement I take personally; however, effects are often unapparent for many months - if at all. This is a mixed blessing, because the industry is largely unregulated. I hope that I may better assist Amazon buyers by publishing my reviews in this manner.
