I got the LEGO City F1 Driver with McLaren Race Car (Set 60442) for my 5-year-old son, and he absolutely loved it! The set has 86 pieces, so it was just the right size for him—he could build most of it on his own with a little help.The McLaren race car looks awesome, and he had so much fun racing it around once it was built. The driver minifigure is also a cool addition. The instructions were easy to follow, and he really liked using the LEGO app for extra help, too.For the price, it’s a perfect set for a young builder. Built this with my 5-and-a-half-year-old and we had such a blast! The LEGO McLaren F1 car was super fun to put together - just the right size for a quick build without losing attention. My 5-year old grandson loved this. And put it together by himself. They stay together to be enjoyed and raced afterwards. Great toy and excellent for spatial reasoning and building attention span. No reading required.

I got this as a gift for my daughter's friend and he was ecstatic to receive it! I think it was a good amount of pieces for him to work with without being overly difficult for his age. The style of the car is really nice too so it was definitely worth it for the value and his reaction.

This is such a cute Lego set for a boy, we got it while it was on sale but I’d pay full price for it. I have 5 boys and can confidently say my 5 and 10 year old could build it with no issues, it gives hours of fun wether it’s racing with it, building it, or just displaying it! I will continue to buy the Lego brand for my boys!
