Worth it
Definitely suppresses outside noise to help you focus however the length of the aux cord is sadly too short

Great quality headphones. Not the most comfortable for long wear but great for studio use. Sounds awesome

Great EQ potential.
*2nd edit* Alicia from Maono support emailed me the frequency response graph which I will share here. You can see in the graph where the mids are scooped from 500hz-3khz, and there's a treble spike around 6k-7k. That treble spike gives these that "clarity" but also due to the mid scoop, it accentuates the lack of mids making these sound a little thin. While you can use a piece of toilet paper in the earcup to smooth out the treble, there's no way around the mid scoop but to EQ it which is why I'm glad to have the graph, so I can tailor these to my needs. They can be mixing cans after all.*edit* So I contacted the seller to obtain a frequency response graph, to which I received a reply with the graph attached. Unfortunately Amazon wouldn't let me open it. Again they sent me another attachment and Amazon wouldn't let me open it. The seller has had excellent communication throughout with a determination to help. For that, I am updating my review to 4 stars instead of 3.These headphones feel comfortable and sturdy, they have great noise isolation. The locking cables make this feel premium as well as the metal headband adjuster. I love that you can replace the headband and the cable, I think you can replace the ear pads as well but I haven't tested that. Build quality gets a solid 8/10. These would be excellent for a DJ.I am not a DJ or an audiophile, that said, I have audiophile tendencies because I am a recording artist. I pay close attention to the frequency response of speakers and headphones because I don't want to be deceived when I mix and master my recordings. My main listening cans are MPOW H12's which are ANC at work and to be fair to these studio headphones, I could mix better on my MPOWs than these. Not to say these are horrible, because they aren't, these actually offer very clear highs 4k-16k they are scooped between the 500 -2k range (mostly between 1k-2k), and despite the big 50mm drivers, these barely have any bass even for a reference set. You can EQ these frequencies in and it transforms these headphones into something great, it really can handle a healthy amount of bass without getting muddy and staying punchy, but ultimately you don't buy a pair of headphones to EQ them, you want them to be what they claim to be which is a studio headphone. Well, they are. For monitoring, not for mixing/mastering. You can track on these and it will provide great sound isolation, but I wouldn't make critical mixing decisions based on these, I got better sounding headphones than these for $14 that I can mix on. If you're serious about mixing on headphones, skip these and all cheap imitations and get Audio Technica M40X's or if you want open back, Sennheiser 600 series and spare your wallet from the rabbit hole of endless so called studio headphones. If you want a set of headphones that are bass light, mid scooped, but articulate and clear in the highs, with EQ potential to be great across all frequencies, then these are for you. Unfortunately, Maono will not provide a graph of the frequency response of these so you will have to play it by ear.
