Key Words with Peter and Jane #3 Things We Like a Series Hardcover – International Edition, August 25, 2009

My child picks up the words really quickly with this series! I love it! She is 5 and loves these books.

Love the book. My daughter have been improving with each book. Planning on getting the whole set.

I can not recommend these books enough. Both my kids learned to read with the "Key Words" series of books published by Ladybird. I received a call one day from the elementary school that my daughter attended and was told she was trying to check out books well out of her reading age. I can not remember if she was in the second or third grade at the time. Even though I told them it was "OK" by me, they were insistent that all she wanted to do was "look at the pictures". So, we compromised and they gave her a reading test. Imagine the surprise of the snooty librarian causing the trouble when my daughter's results came back "reading at a college level". It even surprised me. Obviously, after that, she was allowed to check out any book she wanted.My son learned to read using this series with the same effect- just not as dramatically.This is a true story- it just happened many years ago and now I am 'rounding up" a set to start on my grand daughter.
