I recently came across this adorable retro-style camera and I’m honestly obsessed It looks just like a vintage twin-lens camera from the 1930s, but it’s actually digital. The tiny joystick and viewfinder give it a fun, old-school feel when snapping photos. Despite the nostalgic look, it has the autofocus function. It’s super lightweight and easy to carry around, and the battery lasts for hours, which makes it great for day trips or just capturing everyday moments. A perfect little blend of charm and function!

It does take pictures, and it looks like a TLR (twin lens reflex), but I would say it is useful as a toy.I bought this camera, and I figured for the price it was a toy. And that is an appropriate rating.The Chuzhao camera is one of the weakest cameras I've ever used. It is as bad as the original Raspberry PI 5mp camera.The pictures taken have no EXIF information. While I didn't expect much information to be recorded, I was surprised that no information was recorded. I shoot with different cameras, and at least having the camera name recorded in the EXIF information allows me to organize the files.While the images are recorded at 12 megapixels, if you look at them, it is clear that they are a smaller resolution, and upscaled to 12 megapixels. Frankly, I would prefer if the camera was honest and it just had the 2 megapixels (or whatever) images, and the camera did no upscaling.For still pictures, you have a choice of color or black & white, and this is it in terms of the choices you can do for stills.If

Years ago I read they were going to remake this old style camera, but was disappointed with how small it was going to be. After seeing it pop up on Amazon I got it as a birthday gift for a friend. They absolutely loved it and everyone wanted to play with it. The small size actually makes it easy to travel with and pack away. It is so much fun to turn the handle to take videos and it’s so simple and fun to work. The photos are the same quality as a basic phone these days. I think I’m going to give everyone one for Christmas. So much fun to use and a great functional camera!

Mostly a nostalgia evoking item. Not too practical compared to the cameras that comes with phones, but love it nevertheless. Looks good in the show case of lifes' collections. Have yet to upload taken photos to the computer to see quality of same on a big screen monitor.

This is a fun mini retro camera, good for decoration. Do not expect to take professional pictures from it. This is for fun.

I guess I'll start with how ubiquitous these cameras seem to be. You'll see them advertised across social media platforms at prices much higher than what it is listed for here. Is it the same camera? Hard to say. In order to know for sure, you'd have to do a side-by-side comparison, and I'm not willing to spend the big bucks to do that. So... what do I think of this camera?It is definitely cute. It's also very small, measuring under 4"x2"x2". It is powered by a non-replaceable rechargeable battery. Although it looks like a twin lens reflex camera, only one lens functions. It produces photos with pixel count of 3456x3456. However, the jpeg compression is very high, resulting in file sizes of right around 400K. That high compression is unfortunate, because it results in photos that fall apart quickly when they are enlarged. The pixel count suggests that this camera might actually have a 12MP sensor, but the quality of the sensor is what you would expect in a toy camera.There is no menu system or, at least, none that I could find. I did find that I could switch between color and monochrome. In playback mode, it seems as though you are given the option to delete an image, but I was not successful in doing so. The movie mode is pretty much pure garbage. Some kids might enjoy this camera, but the really young ones will have trouble figuring out how to use it.I had planned to do a photo series based on using a toy camera. This is not anything new; lots of photographers have done this. Typically, a toy film camera is used. This Chuzhao, though, might be a better choice. It produces square images. It has a waist level viewfinder. It attracts attention. It's the kind of camera that a lot of people will pose for. So long as you don't plan to print larger than, say, 5x7, you probably won't be disappointed. Final verdict? Absolutely not worth it at the highest prices I've seen on social media platforms. A decent impulse buy at the current Amazon price.

I think this camera is cool and It is kind of fun to play around with, but that is about the extent. The image quality is definitely not what is reported in the item description. I would say this would make a decent gift for someone that likes old style cameras with newer internals or maybe for kids to play around with. It's a cool idea and would be even cooler if it performed as it should but it does not.

This is a very good gadget for adults. It is not just a toy, nor a simple camera. It is carefully designed and has a strong sense of fun. I am very satisfied. I can't ask for any picture quality. Nowadays, any mobile phone can take high-quality photos.
