Howdens Lamona Fan Oven/Cooker Heater Element (1800W) [Energy Class A+++]

Girlfriend's oven failed Friday evening and the weather was cold and we had plans for a good Sunday lunch... what to do. I phoned around for local oven-fixers but no one called back and perhaps none was available. Then we looked up some Youtube vids and realised that maybe we could fix the oven ourselves - never having touched oven works before... So we took a chance, ordered the element and it arrived Saturday afternoon. We switched of power to the oven, removed all the oven trays, etc, and then I unscrewed the inside back panel and there was an old and rather distorted heating coil. It was surprisingly easy to unscrew and then disconnect it from the sockets which came through from the back. I connected the new coil, screwed it to the back panel and then we switched on... WARMTH. I screwed the coil cover back on, girlfriend replaced the trays and then then we warmed up some croissants. Perfect! Oven gave us a great lunch the next day and has been working fine ever since. For about £16 that wasn't bad... how much would an Oven Expert on Weekend Rates have cost? Girlfriend was so delighted at the outcome too.

Easy to change and seemed well made. Difficult to give a view in longevity as only just installed.

A week or so before Christmas, our Howdens Lamona oven packed up. This element arrived quickly and, once installed, got us back in operation well in time for the turkey. It wasn't too easy to install, but that's not due to the element but the design of the oven - we had to remove the oven from its casing, remove the back and install this using existing connectors. Even so, it took only about 20 minutes with the two of us. Other ovens might be possible to do from the inside. We have a Lamona HJA 3400. Has been performing well since installation - very happy so far.

In the model I had, I had to remove the face plate inside the oven and then take the oven out of the carcase as the bolts to fit the element were inside the back plate.But that was not the fault of the element, just the fault of the oven producer.Other than that, no problems with the element

I ordered this just before Christmas when my sisters oven stopped heating. I’m Happy to say that It arrived within a couple of days and was very easy to replace on our particular model of oven.Item was Identical to the one which was in the oven originally and has worked perfectly so far.

Second oven element bought to replace a Lamona LAM3400, 1st one ordered from another seller didn't quite fit properly. This one was exactly the correct fit and was very east to replace. Hopefully it will last another couple of years.
