McIntosh .... For the Love of Music .... Hardcover – January 1, 2006

I have been a McIntosh customer since the early 70s. I have been more than satisfied with McIntosh. They are dedicated to the accurate re-creation of the music of the world and they deserve to be proud. This book is an awesome representation of the history of McIntosh.

I live Ken Kessler's writings, the 'Sound Bites: 50 years of hi-fi news has been the greatest book on 'the industry' that I've read, ( second is The Absolute Sound's illustrated history of loudspeakers- excellent as well) so obviously , I would like to read this and the KEF books, but I am not the greatest fan of either marque so why would I pay over a hundred dollars for a book? I wouldn't , and I get why these are deluxe tomes, why a paperback could tarnish these high end companies' images. ( nah) so how about a digital edition? I just want to READ the thing...

Cracked vinyl. All the books you mentioned in your review are the same price as the McIntosh book. Awesome read..

This is available for $150 direct from McIntosh, so why anybody would pay $300 is beyond me...but it's your money.
