Excellent qr skewer
These seem to be some of the best skewers available for qr without paying for boutique brands. Torque down solid, felt great on the trails, no slop

Excellent, especially with large disc brakes
The design is excellent. Can achieve very high clamping force with the skewer tight, which is essential when using large disc brakes with drop outs on a rigid fork.

Solid interface, great fit and finish, easy to tighten and align.
I had read these would stiffen up the front (and rear) end of my bike. I don't know if they did or not, but it does feel just fine. The construction is excellent. It's easier to get the clamping force I want than it is with a quick release. I would like it if they also had some hex interface so I could use a torque wrench, but I'm happy enough I'll be keeping these.

Best Skewer I’ve ever used
I was skeptical. “Who needs an expensive skewer?” I thought to myself. I will never use a lesser skewer again!! Such a nice finish, cinches down tight and looks great! Even fits in my cupped dropouts!

I bought these skewers after upgrading the rotor on my front brake from 160 to 180 mm. The larger rotor amplified a problem I was having with my Salsa skewers not locking down tight enough, which allowed extra flex in the forks and the rotor rubbed against the brake pad. These things lock down tight and solid. Problem solved!

Wish I had these years ago
Surprising these weren't invented decades ago. Very easy to use and secure. Works great on my quick release disc bike.

Great Item, I Just Got The Wrong One
While there is no arguing with the quality of these DT Swiss parts, I unfortunately ordered the wrong size for my bicycle. The typical DT Swiss RWS size for front wheels is 5mm x 100mm. If you have a larger hub for thru-bolts (the ones without springs) the standard size is usually 10mm x 100mm. These have much thicker bolts and are more common on mountain bikes. When the end cap on my bike broke and the ratchet piece snapped off I was confused on the sizing as these are not generally labeled on the parts themselves. It wasn't until I received this 5mm RWS in the mail that my mistake was crystal clear. After doing a little more research I made even another discovery. Specialized bikes typically come with a proprietary front hub that runs a super secret squirrel front hub at 9mm. Oh wait, that's right, an atypical thru-bolt dimension used by specific brands. So... lesson learned. If you need a replacement--DT Swiss makes a great quick release system, just make sure you research your sizing, and if you ride Specialized, get 9mm, not 10mm.Happy riding.

I was skeptical of these because I like my stuff uncomplicated
I was skeptical of these because I like my stuff uncomplicated. These skewers, however, are how they should have been designed all along. Simply spin it on like an old-timey knock-off until you get the tightness you want, then pull out and rotate the handle into the position that is most convenient for your derailleur, disc brake, fork, or whatever. Just really well thought out.
