Terrific sound for the price!
I got a chance to review this soundbar over a few weeks before I bought it. It's easy to set up, thanks to the included optical cable and wireless subwoofer. The remote and controls are incredibly simple.I really enjoy the sound from this set - it fills my living room without distorting, the sound separation allows you to pick out plenty of details in complex musical arrangements, and the subwoofer effortlessly delivers plenty of bass to make action movies and TV shows more exciting to watch. The voice boost mode works well to make dialogue more audible, but you won't need it most of the time, especially if you have a good quality video source.Overall, this offers an enjoyable experience, and is well worth its asking price.

Beautiful sounds
I have had this Polk Signa1 soundbar for more than 1 month. This is a well tuned soundbar with exceptional sound quality. Everything is well heard and no crackle or hiss sound at any point of time. Sub woofer is small and well suited for nominal bass, in my view very much sufficient if connected to TV's. as this is a wireless sub woofer, you have a choice to move around wherever you have the option to plug it in for power supply.Cons: No HDMI cable, also every time you switch it on, you need to use the remote or the power button to switch it on. This would have been avoided if there would have been an HDMI input.

I am happy....... 😁
OMG ! Magnificent. No words to describe. The JBL i used previously was nothing in front of this real electronics. You get the effect from every corner of the room. Excellent optical connectivity with my Android box.Well detailed remote.Heavy subwoofer with Wireless connectivity.I got addicted with the 'World war 2 in colours' series of Netflix, after plugging my Polka. If you want to go for a real piece of audio, it's Polk.

Great budget soundbar
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The sound is quite good , and even at high volumes distortion was low, the bass though not window shaking loud is just ok. The mid level sounds were also quite clear and i could enjoy most of my content in a completely new level of clarity. The low profile makes it fit quite comfortably under any flat screen TV . There are keyhole mounts on the back, which allows it to be wall mounted.Pro’s:Great SoundWireless subwooferVery slim, and wont block TV’s IR sensorCons:Audio via bluetooth or PCM is 2 channel onlyNo HDMI, need to turn on manuallySo if you are looking to improve your sound experience and don't want to spend a ton of money the Polk Signa S1 is a great choice.

Disappointed with the features offered
Sound quality is good for the price. But then, everything else is not so good. Firstly, you have to power on the system everytime using remote or power button on the system and there is a few seconds delay for the system to begin playback (using AUX). Aux cable is not provided on the box. There is no hdmi support. I havent tried optical input. Device switches off automatically after a period of inactivity and has to be turned on again using remote or power button which is bit annoying. Bluetooth connection had issues of not automatically getting connected on galaxy s7. It got connected on moto g and on honor6x it sometimes gets connected sometimes not. Not tested with any other phone.Remote is too weak. Its a one aaa battery unit and you have to be close and at direct line of sight for it to work. There is no display to know the volume or bass level. All it has is few lights which has different colors for different sources and blinks on remote inputs. Voice clarity feature is good till level 2, on level 3 I felt a bit bleeding ear effect. Bass is adequate. It doesnt remember sound settings on turning off. So each time you turn on you have to adjust the sound settings like volume, bass, etc. Overall, disappointed with the features offered.

5.1 in sound bar. Superior sound quality
This is one of the best products in 5.1 sound bar set up. This has additional feature of enhancing voices.Sound is of superior quality and every details can heard. The bass of the subwoofer can be adjusted.Volume of the sound bar is good and no jarring noises at high volumes.

Not upto Polk standards
The sound bar is good and produces crisp sound, but the sub woofer is a let down.Limited connectivity options is another issue. Lack of HDMI input is a bummer. The best part of the package is the bar itself which doesn't disappoint and gives another dimension to the inbuilt speakers of the TV. But again is it worthy of the Polk logo?

Great sound but...
Great sound at this price. Remote is à pain and we end up putting to walk up to the bar. Easy set up. A bit laggy in responding to input on buttons. But the sound makes the experience perfect for our smallish family living room. However rating it low as the subwoofer gave out just 16 months in. Just out of warranty. Opened it up to check and it looks like some component has exploded all over the board!

It sounds great! The major and presistant annoyance is that it auto turns off after 10 or 15 minutes if you're not using it. It's really annoying because I have it hooked up to my computer and TV and if I browse a couple of websites before I go back to watching movies or Youtube there's no sound because it's auto turned off. I was tempted to give it a 3 star rating because of that really annoying having to turn it on again and again but the sound quality is A grade.

Takes a little effort to set up right, but good sound quality
You have to work a bit to get the sub woofer connected correctly, which I suspect is what has led to so many comments about this not having any bottom end. The sub is quite adequate when properly connected, but again, that took a little effort. My main issue with this unit is with the voice boosting feature, which was my main draw for purchasing this model. I'm a bit hard of hearing and while the voice booster does seem to work, it also boosts some FX sounds like explosions and such, which means those FX are way louder than they should be sometimes. If you own a house, this is probably not a big deal, but if you live in an apt with poor noise dampening, you are likely to annoy neighbors if you are watching something action packed. My only other gripe is that the sensor range on the remote is pretty limited. I have had to learn to put the remote at juuuuust the right height, or nothing happens. Again... annoying, but not the end of the world. Overall, this sound bar is a good value for the money and Polk is a trusted brand, so I think I'll have this sound bar for quite some time.

Do not buy this product
After just a little over 1 month remote does not work after changing original batteries. Contacted seller (Canada Computer) and was told they can not take it back and to contact manufacturer (Polk Audio). Tried to call Polk Audio customer service phone line and was never able to get through. Sent an email and opened a claim, received a incident number on November 1. 3 weeks later no one at Polk contacted me either via phone or email. DO NOT buy. Poor service from Canada Computer and from Polk Audio. Not worth the price.

Impressed
The sound quality from this was very surprising. I am not a sound guy and don't know brands but I am guessing Polk is a higher end. Ive been using it for maybe 5 months and its going strong. It gets pretty loud(house party loud), bluetooth works and its great for music. The subwoofer gives it good bass too.

Disappointing sound
There is no bass. The subwoofer is useless. Feels like plastic junk, doesn't sound good. We have a pricer polk sb9500 bt and it's great, but I expected polks lower end models to at least be decent. I wouldn't recommend this at all. Spent $50 on shipping to return it. (Amazon refunded $3.99 in shipping fees though)
