Google Chrome and other users... Please Read...
** Update after 3 trouble free months of use ... I'm thoroughly pleased with this little laptop. Super light , smooth , reasonably good processing speed , battery life and screen quality. At this price point it can't be beat. Is it 5 stars compared to a high end Mac book , gaming PC or Surface ? ... Of course not as those are $1,000 - $2,000. For less than $200 you are getting a lot as long as you have reasonable expectations.Just what I wanted in a nice light laptop package. I needed a replacement for an aging laptop and with the non-support of windows 7 come January 2020 I jumped a bit early... Great for web surfing and travel , fairly fast and decent flash memory.*** If you want to use another web browser like Google Chrome or Fire Fox , etc. Be aware this is a Windows 10 - "S" ... S is supposed to stand for " Safe" as it locks you into using only Windows applications ( downloads ) and also only permits the use of Windows explorer browser. Unfortunately like Lot of people that doesn't work well for me as Google Chrome is my phone (Android) and tablet browser and they all sync and work well together ... Everything from my bookmarks , favorites to my calendar and Google play (music) is not going to function as designed if only using Windows explorer browser. You can permanently exit the Windows 10 " S" operating system once (no return).I opened a windows explorer page and went to Google.com I then searched for Google Chrome and download the Chrome web browser. That's where you get a windows pop up saying you can exit the Windows "S" mode if you want to and go to the " regular" windows 10 operating system that allows you to download from outside sources . ( In my case Google Chrome) ... It seems to be working fine now in Chrome. I was able to important my Chrome bookmarks and Calendar , etc.* I think the windows "S" would be a great option for kids and some less computer savvy seniors to keep them out of trouble. It has a purpose but "S" is Definitely not for everyone .I'll update later as I use it more.

Plenty of storage, compact and sturdy
We (hubby & me) each have our own, since our desktop became obsolete! Lots of storage, easy setup (we're both retired seniors) compact to take from room to room, outdoors (front porch), kitchen for step by step recipe. Gorilla glass sturdy! Excellent screen quality. Touch screen is new to me. However, I had to sign MANY legal papers this year and the touch screen saved time and money.

Pretty good for the price
I bought this for 170ish on sale, and I have to say that I am impressed with what I got for that price point. I purchased this to be a word processing/on the go browsing machine, and it is fully capable of that. I had a surface 3 for about 4 or 5 years, but that caught fire a couple months ago due to an issue with the fan. I decided that I could downgrade since I don't do digital illustration any longer. I had no problem downloading Chrome (you just have to switch it out of S mode, and it gives you prompts to do that).By any means, don't expect a gaming computer or a computer that could run PS (with four tabs of chrome open, 61% of the ram is occupied and 15-45% of the CPU is too), but if you want something to use on the go, this is it. It's light, it's small, and it works for what it needs to. Nice little computer. Seems like the battery is lasting pretty well, too. Some other thoughts:- The screen is really bottom of the barrel. Turn up the brightness a lot and use it somewhere with very little glare. That kind of helps. I am pretty sure it's the same ones they were putting in think pads a decade ago.-Came with really minimal bloat ware, but most of it uninstalled pretty easy.-Pairs easily with my Bluetooth headphones.-Knock-off macbook aesthetic. Not a positive or a negative, just is.

truly 'portable' computer
screen large enough to do real work with, great battery, quick dl's, fits on airline trays, laps, in recliners ... unless you're doing video editing, things that require super-power and memory, this is exactly what you need. A monster up-grade from your smart phone. You won't pull muscles in your arms hauling it around, takes up less than half the space others did in my briefcase, envy of everybody who sees it. and a super-great price, the first I bought this size, in the early 00's, was over $2,000! 64g memory. easily solved, I have a 500gig super-small usb in that port, a super-super small SDHC for another 250g in the tiny slot. Meetings make me smile, the other half dozen pull out their 14-16 inch computers, I'm the only one with an 11 ... we sit there, looking at docs, spreadsheets, videos, jpgs, mine just as crisp and readable as theirs. Even has an HDMI port. Wouldn't leave home without it! And at home, a perfect, lightweight fit for the recliner. Unless you're trying to impress ... mine is bigger than yours ... give this a try!

Lightweight and easy to use. Read recuew regarding Windows S mode.
its a great product. One thing I did find out was when buying it I was asked if I wanted to get add on one of them being a antivirus. I got it and tried to download but was unable because it runs on Window S mode. On my own research I found out that you can only download Microsoft products, from the store. So long story short. You get protection on the laptop when you buy it. Also for example I have a gmail account, I can not download Windows Chrome because it is not from the Microsoft store. You can switch out of the Window S mode but you can not ever get it back. If you have Microsoft Office you would have to buy it all over again because it is included in the laptop for a year and runs on Windows S mode. There are just things you can't do that you are probably using now on another device. Still getting use to. I do recommend this laptop for your everyday needs . It is definitely lightweight and easy to use. I am in the process of looking for a wireless keyboard but running into the problems finding one that runs on windows S mode. Enjoy!
