Boss ME-70 Guitar Multiple Effects Pedal Board

I've been playing for almost 10 years now, and I'm more used to playing with amplifier built-in effects (personal taste, most people like pedalboards and multi-effects pedals like this one). Anyways, I've played long enough and used a large number of multi-effects pedals, so I can tell a good pedal from a bad one. This one works great, it's very very easy to use, has a lot of effects, many distortion options, harmony effects, wah, whammy, built-in loop station (with no quantizer: booooh!), very cool reverb, delay, compression and other effects. Has mono and stereo outputs for different uses. It's amasingly solid, pure metal, feels resistent. Low noise performance and a built-in noise gate. I'm telling you, if you're looking for a good and simple multi effects for all purposes (studio, home, playing live) this WILL DO THE JOB.I never liked the Boss sound... never. But sometimes you just have to stand down on your personal tastes and admit when something just works incredibly well. Congrats to Boss for this piece of equipment, very high quality.

Does what it says, sounds good and easy to edit on the fly. Only problem I have is, I wish it changed from one preset to others a little more smoother. It has a momentary sound gap when you switch and the reverb and the delay doesn't trail over to the other preset. Considering it is 2010 and it's been 30 yeas since the first BOSS multi-effect processor, you would expect them to have this problem solved like the other companies.

If you already have a large pedal board, you probably won't get much more out of this, but if you don't own any pedals or just a few than this effects processor will definitely give you the most for your money. Boss has always set the industry standard for compact effects pedals at their price point, but three pedals can cost over $300. The ME-70 gives you most of Boss's popular effects, plus quality amp modeling, and a wah pedal with decent sound quality. I am never ashamed to use this processor (just remember Tom Morello, used a Digitech multi effects processor for recording and live performances that was in a similar price range). The quality of this product will not disappoint you. However there are some cons, but I feel that the low price far outweighs them. This thing is difficult to level, but you'll work it out after a few practice sessions. Boss always leaves out the power adapter (my only real gripe with Boss). I would just shell out the extra $20 and buy one with it, and then write a complaint letter to Boss. I have found an issue with my unit with the Harmonist function. Sometimes it sounds really weird if I switch over to using it from another effect. I haven't really researched this problem, so I may be doing something wrong on my end. If I turn the unit off and back on, it goes back to sounding normal. If you have a larger budget, there are better products out there, but if you are a hobbyist or semi-professional who doesn't already own a ton of effects you'll probably find everything you need here. Wish I kept this instead of getting individual pedals. Wait, no I dont. You get everything with the pedalboard but the quality of the sound isn't the same as the individual units from Boss.

I have had the Boss ME-70 for about a year now. I love this pedal it is easy to use,sounds great, perfect for weather you starting out with effects or are an expert. The way the pedal is set up is you basically have 4 stomps boxes of you choice and then a type of expression pedal. It is set up just like if u had a bunch of stomp boxes. All the effects on sounds great and the expression pedal is accurate and very vert durably. The preamp section is amazing. When I play gigs all I have to do is bring my pedal and my guitar. I plug my pedal into my bands PA system and it sounds amazing. Best pedal for the price range. I also own the next level up from this the GT-10 and I still am convinced that this pedal is just as good and it is 200 dollars cheaper.

I bought this board because I liked the analog dial setup. My rule is if i need to read the manual i dont want it on a stage. youre asking for trouble. I wanted to make quick tone adjustments, which this definitely lived up to. But if you require multiple sounds in a set, and want to be able to tweak at the sound check easily, this ain't the board for you. If you want easy user interface with instant sound editing, plus even bigger tone, and in a more compact board, try G3X by Zoom. I tried 6 boards in this range and thought this was going to be the winner because I love Boss pedals (I wanted to love it, really!), but the G3X killed it in every category.Rhythm players that need only a few sound changes and hate complicated interfaces will love this.

I like the processor. I play mainly blues and I found a lot of combinations to satisfy my urge for perfect blues sound.BUT WHY IN THE WORLD a simple wall adapter is not included?! It only comes with batteries.You have to separately buy a Boss PSA-120S Boss AC Adapter.I find that silly.

This pedal has tone! its very easy to use and program, I did not have idea on how to use it, and really quick I got it, it has a great interface, it sounds great, you just need some time to adapt and you will be creating your own tones in no time.The distrosion is great some people say they arent but I really love them, its a matter of taste and creating your tones, some preset may not be good for youThe downside it does not have the AC adapter but I knew this.The lights under certain light conditions are very bright,But this pedal is note heavy, well constructed and sturdy, I got the AC adapter so I dont have to be on the batteries all the time.This pedal has the whole package, effects, great tone, great distorsion and cleans.
