Great laptop
It’s been a great affordable laptop. I did have the issue with it restarting but I updated the drivers and no issues since. I am not a computer wiz. It was simple to do and solved the problem. The screen resolution is great and the programs run great. It loads quickly and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for something affordable and reliable.

It’s a big yes.
This is my second one of these. I bought one for myself to work on and then one for my kids school work. We don’t use daily so I’m not sure if it would be good for heavy use but it’s small and light and it’s been dropped twice with no case and you can’t tell. Set up was easy pray and easily holds up to printer WiFi and all the things.

Returning it. Too many problems.
I already own a ideapad 3 and like the design with the plug-ins on the left side. I bought the new version b/c the laptop had 2 problems. 1) the power cord kept falling out of the power outlet. The repair person told me that the outlets can wear out inside and can't be fixed. 2) the keyboard keys seem to be uneven b/c the letters I type don't show the approriate spaces or spellings. Well, it appears that I am going to have the same problems with the new laptop , ideapad 1, so I am returning it. I have only had it for a few days. I am going to try another brand.I only used this laptop for a few days and tried to close it out but it kept resetting over and over. I googles Lenova laptop keeps resetting and found many articles on how to fix this problem. I am 78 years old and have no interest in learning how to fix Lenovo's problems which are apparently well known. I didn't buy this laptop to fix it.

Lenovo ideapad 1i is all good.
All good. Worked well right out of the box. It would be helpful to put a simple sheet of instructions on "getting started" but after a bit of trial and error, anyone can figure it out. This is my second or third Lenovo. Very durable.

Hardware Very Nice -- Bad Software Surprise
The hardware on this PC is first-rate. The screen is beautiful, the keyboard is clean (although not back-lit), and the processors and memory are great. The reason for the three stars (lucky it is not two) is that I researched very diligently to try to find a PC that was affordable and was NOT delivered in Microsoft S Mode. Nowhere in the documentation for this PC was S Mode mentioned; it did say Windows 11 Home but I do not believe that automatically results in S Mode. I was able to exit S Mode, but there were problems. The major problem was that for many hours I could not successfully access another computer on my home network. This PC sometimes "saw" the other PC, sometimes "saw" a computer name that meant nothing to me, and sometimes would not allow me to see the network at all. What MAY have finally solved the problem was putting in AND SAVING the credentials (why does microsoft use terms such as credentials instead of name (or ID) and password??). So far the access to the other PC has been stable. If the stability fails again, I will have to either wipe and return this PC, or wipe and reload Windows 11.Final note: Given that I needed to access another PC on my home network, if I were not a retired IT Manager, this PC would 100% have been returned or I would have had to pay someone to untangle this mess.
