Wonderful
Any large countertop water filter is an investment, but I chose this one for it's price, capacity, and the reviews. It's far more obtainable on a budget and it works outstanding with no leaking.I have had it for a few weeks already and having clean water on hand is so much nicer. I can ditch buying water in plastic altogether and also not have to drink the overly chlorinated water straight from the tap.The biggest thing to note is you need to prime your filters before you put them in the tank. You use one of the rubber washers that come with the filter to help with making a slightly better seal with the sink faucet (it will still make a mess). Run the tap into the filter until drops start making their way through the entire length of the filter, repeat with the other one. When attaching to the upper tank ensure you aren't screwing on too tight, you can damage the filter. Just finger tight is good and the washers on either side of the hole will ensure a good seal so no unfiltered water will leak into the bottom tank. The final thing to note is there is no clear note on which way the handle for the spigot is the closed position. Forward is on, to the side is off.Enjoy keeping clean filtered water on hand!

Works perfect
Everything about this is great. I love that I can see the water level at the spigot and it's a well-made product. I expect this to last a long time. The filters are good too. I filter creek water with it and it comes out clean and delicious! Make sure to soak the filters before using and they will work right away. I love that the filters have silver in them to help keep the filters cleaner longer.

Good little filtration system
I ended up going with this system because all other ones I was interested in were sold out and on back order. I paid to get the fluoride treatment filters as well as the standard carbon filters. Installation was fairly simple. Instructions are in rough English (often not structurally or grammatically correct) but you get the gist of it.I've been using this system for just over a month now. We did before and after tests on our tap water. This system improves the pH by about 0.5 (our tap is around 8, so this moves it to about 8.5). It definitely removes the chlorine and other contaminants. The taste is great. It tastes like good, clean water. I bought glass containers with spigots so I could store it in the fridge after running it through this system. The only annoying thing I've noticed about this system is that the water filters very slowly. We have the 2.25 gallon one and it's take about 1.5-2 hours to filter 95% of it since it's dripping out slowly. Additionally, it never gets all of the water through the filters. The last bit just sits in the tank due the plastic capping on the filter. Not a huge deal, just something I noticed. So far it's worked well for us. I use this for a family of 4 and use it about once a day to filter water for all of us.It's well worth the investment if you've been buying bottled water, which we were.

Water Filter System is the BEST!
After several months of using this filtration system, I can confidently say it has added incredible value to my home! π For nearly 40 years, I relied on spring water due to my very sensitive digestive system - just one tiny contaminant could upset everything. When I learned my spring water source would no longer be available (the property was sold), I knew I needed a reliable water filtration system. After thoroughly researching different options, evaluating filtering protocols, techniques, and costs, this system stood out as the clear winner. And let me tell you - it has exceeded my expectations! The filtering capabilities are outstanding, delivering water thatβs clean, crisp, fluoride free and gentle on my digestive system. Plus, the fact that it requires no electricity makes it incredibly convenient and eco-friendly. Itβs simple to use, highly effective, and has given me peace of mind when it comes to my water quality.Iβm beyond thrilled with this purchase. Itβs a true 5-star product! πππππ

Very happy to find a filter with impregnated silver
Easy to assemble. I loved the fact that the filters themselves were impregnated with silver which acts as a natural bacteria-stat. Which I believe the silver is an important component because bacteria likes to grow in dark, wet places. So the silver allows you to use the filter over its entire life span without fear of bacterial contamination. I have been looking for almost 50 years to find a water filter with silver impregnated in it that is also affordable. So I was very happy to find this one. The silver is the reason I bought from this manufacturer. I got the ceramic filters and the upgraded site glass spigot I think the site glass upgrade is well worth the extra expense. The device comes with 2 filters and you can use one or both filters. Using only 1 is fairly slow, so if speed of the filtration more important use both, if you can wait then using only 1 will save you money, as the filters themselves are not inexpensive. A couple of tips for getting started I didn't see elsewhere. Soak the filter(s) in water before the first use, just put it in a full tank of water upside down and when the bubbles stop coming out of effluent hole its full, this the will speed things up when you first start. Oh, and be sure and remove the plastic wrap the filter comes in. Next I would highly recommend sanitizing both tanks and every thing else except the filters themselves before starting to filtering water. I think Star San is by far the best sanitation product on the market for sanitation but chlorine and iodine are both cheaper. I figure at 2 gallons a day or approximately 350 gallons a year each filter should last close to 10 years. However I plan to getting some extra filter while I can still find them.
