Great starter camera: not too simple not too complicated.
Me (part time) professional photographer.Bought for 49.99 with £20 one off discount.Purpose: intro into photography for a young teen. The good:1 Lovely retro look, solid quality metal construction2 variable ISO3 variable exposure settings up to +/- 3 stops, one stop at a time.4 multiple other settings including colour settings.5 point, centre, matrix (?), & average light metering settings.6 flash - though pretty weak, multiple settings though which is vital7 image stabilisation (yet to really test)8 screen flips up to allow video blogging for the self obsessed. Works a treat.9 includes micro SD card AND usb A reader (if your computer company was too lazy or arrogant (Apple of old) to provide one.10 Snapchat type settings (not tried to be honest)The bad:1 despite the size of the camera the lens is tiny, smaller or at best similar than for example a iPhone pro max 14 or even iPhone XR. I showed the teen a sample SLR lens as was unclear on concept - reply “oh right really no difference in size”. Wonderful sarcasm: comparing a lens 8cm wide vs ~0.5cm wide.2 battery - jury out, appeared good initially but then went to 50%. However charged very quickly. I see others think battery good so this initial drop may be due to intense testing. Later testing battery holds up.3 lack of programming, AP, SP (aperture and shutter speed priority). Again not expected at all at this price point.4 oops no lens cover, however the lens is recessed and very small. So no biggy.Overall: really good intro to photography, take back some control from a mindless smart phone. Recommend for the price, despite the negatives.Wish Amazon did 10 point ratings as this would be a 7-8/10 for price/quality yet a 4/5 appears worse than it is hence 5/5 as for price I think it fits the bill.Anything I would change?Larger lens and some programming as that is a big part of photography but probably way outside this price range and this camera offers some workarounds. As a beginner camera this is a good option.

Good starter camera
The media could not be loaded. The quality isn’t bad at all for the price. Photos and videos come out pretty decent, and it’s really straightforward to use, which makes it a solid option for beginners. It comes with a 32GB memory card, so you can start using it right out of the box. Just something to note, the battery is built into the camera, so it can’t be removed. The picture and the video were taken with this camera.
