Floro Large Marimo Moss Balls come as a pack of 4 spherical aquatic plants, each about 3cm in diameter, growing slowly at 5mm per year. These low-maintenance algae thrive in room temperature water with indirect light, making them ideal for beginners and experienced gardeners. Beyond their unique fluffy texture and shape, they naturally purify water by trapping dirt and scum, enhancing both terrariums and DIY décor with a soothing, exotic vibe.

not like the photo
i was disappointed when they arrived. They were smaller than I expected and came a little brown and not nice and green like they should be and they had some flakes of something in them? I hope they return to the normal dark green in a few weeks. But the title for these says Large Marimos but they're actually small, about half an inch in size. so it shouldn't say Large Marimo it should say Medium to small. I dont think Ill be ordering these again. Think Id rather spend the extra few dollars and get one from PetSmart, those are generally big enoughto propagate and seem healthier.

Arrived healthy, green...
So far, after several months, these Marimos have stayed green and healthy looking. I have convict chiclids that will sometime tear a part off of one of these when the fish are nesting and attacking everything. The convicts do not seem to want to eat these. Best advice is to keep these away from nesting convicts. I also have a small crayfish tank and the crays seem to enjoy these things too. The crays do not actively eat these as long as they are fed. These are nice additions to an aquarium, large or small. Even if they get torn, they are still living moss. I keep a mason jar handy to house any parts that get separated and re-introduce the parts to the fish at a later date.

Seem to be nice. Look great in the tank!
They arrived as described. I have all 4 in a 10 gal tank. However over the course of one month of having these, 3 of the 4 have turned a brown, which I assume means they have died. Only one has stayed bright green, and it looks amazing. I might have done something wrong, but all my other plants and fish have done just fine since I added these to the tank.Update: after 6 months, all of the balls have turned a luscious green color and appear to have grown. One even appears to be splitting. Maybe turning into a new one? Not sure On that but I’ll take it.I learned from my local fish shop that one of the chemicals I was using to try to combat an algae bloom I had going on was what was turning these brown. Since after all, they are apparently a type of algae themselves. So just be cautious when using chemicals or anything else!

Just need some TLC on arrival....
I liked that these moss balls were alive on arrival. Did not like that they were flat and plucked-looking. I didn’t attempt reshaping them, they’re so little was afraid they’d be even worse off. Good news is that they rounded out on their own after a couple of weeks.

Meh
So I already expected they would be smaller than pictured but the noticeable difference between those and the other ones I have is that within two or three days these fall apart

Great addition to betta tank.
Most of my plants die. These moss balls have outlived all my aquatic plants. I haven't done anything special to them and they are thriving. Have survived some squeezes from me.

These are the best Marimos so far
Vibrant and healthy when they arrived and still weeks later. These are perfect size for a 1-5 gallon tank. Most are either too small or too large. These are great.
