Installed exactly where I wanted them, & they're wonderful for that extra bit of security & steadiness while showering, & getting in & out of the tub.

Prior to ordering I located the wall studs with a stud finder to determine length of bar I would order. Like most homes my wall studs are on 16" centers. It just happened the location of the studs were perfect to allow the bar to be on a slant like I wanted therefore I ordered the 18" bar. I was able to utilize two holes on each handle flange to drive the provided Phillips head screws into the studs. I drilled a pilot hole half the screw diameter for each screw as Phillips head screws are easy to strip. Two screws for each handle flange is more than enough support. The handle doesn't budge. I found no scratches or chipped paint as some folks described. The flange covers were easy to install and remove. I recommend this product.Update: After a couple uses found that I was having trouble with my hand loosing a grip due to how smooth the paint is on the bar. I purchased from Amazon a roll of Fusion black silicone grip tape and wrapped the bar. That did the trick. If you think you want to wrap the bar I suggest wrapping before installing the bar.

I previously bought delta for another bathroom so I bought this one to compare and it’s just as good as the delta. Made well and looks great!

4 stars because I had to return the shorter bar due to scratches along the bar, it arrived in a damaged box. Kept the longer bar which arrived separately, installed and love it.

I had a tough time installing it because I was replacing a 20 yr old fixture. But it lined up good and I was able to use the existing holes. Great finish

CSI Bathware makes excellent grab bars. Now here is how I install it, and quite frankly it's a lot of work but it makes it extra strong.First find the stud, drill through the tile and get a stud. So one sided anchored well. The second side I use a half inch masonary bit.Once you drill 3 large holes, put the largest toggle bolt you can fit through itAnd caulk it, are use clear GE silicone.I want to say that my way takes time, but it's anchored very very solid.I have bought two of CSI brand. 18" & 24", I would buy them again.

I just tried to install this bar and the cap does not twist off. I have tried everything but it is impossible for me to install now. Because I had to wait for the tiling to be complete on my bathroom before installing, I am now past the return date. I don't see any clear contact information for the seller either. Do not recommend.
